Blue Ice Side Table

Description

I call this side table Blue Ice. It is made of clear textured art glass suspended in translucent organic resin. It is one of many newly designed tables made of organic dye and art glass cast in safe organic resin. This is a process called Terrazzo, originating in ancient Rome. The Romans used marble dust and volcanic ash as the binder for the stone and sand they cast. Modern, eco-friendly materials are used in my work. The top has been carefully polished to a satin finish. This table 19 inches in diameter and 20 inches tall. This top will be paired with a pedestal base made from cherry, figured maple or black walnut wood. Look at the pictures and select a base using the options selections. Because the base is made of wood it should be used indoors, it is not made for outdoor use.
