Great product
They work great with the collars and the automatic doggy door. Love it!

The batteries MUST be custom (it's a good thing)
The reason the batteries are custom is because standard batteries have the +/- on opposite sides. To use a standard battery, the High Tech Pet collar would need a wire stretched between the two halves of the collar module. This would be a VERY easy failure point and difficult to water proof. The sticker on the battery has metal in it that "moves" the +/- to the same side of the battery so it touches the power connections on the control board. It's the cheaper and more robust solution, because I'm sure people would be more upset if the whole collar failed ($60). If you want to be crafty, you could technically pry the sticker off, tape it onto a fresh battery, but now you've become the mediocre electrical engineer :)

Battery Hack
The batteries are over priced They are proprietary as the company uses an adaptor to have positive and negative on the connector side. They adhere the adaptor with a very fine adhesive tape. You can carefully remove the adaptor from your dead batteries using fine bladed tool ( screw driver ect) and using fine double stick tape adhere to cr2430 batteries purchased at any general store

They work
Work right away in my dogs collars, so no delay in getting their door working! No modifications required! My dogs love their door and the collars are essential to going in and out.

Highly Recommend
I have four furry girls who love to go outside and come back in or sit in front of their doggie door. These batteries came in on time, and I have no issues with them. They work as expected. I highly recommend them. If you don't have a HiTech pet door, you need one.

Better price than the single purchase batteries
We have one of the auto doors from High Tech Pet and we run through several of these a year between two dogs. It works out to be a better price per unit than what we've been buying from the HTP website. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-Star is because I have to buy them at all. The older version of the electronic collar was able to use any of the available batteries of this size. However, the newer versions require this specialty battery from HTP. While I applaud their capitalism in creating a market segment, I also curse them for limiting my purchasing options and making me pay 3x the price for a simple battery I can pick up at 10 local stores.

High Tech pet transmitter batteries
Battery life is based on how often your pet goes in and out of the dog door. Our average is 2 to 3 months. I wish they were more economical as we have 6 transmitters so we will be ordering often. However the dog door itself was best decision on doors.

dommage que ce produit ne soit plus disponible au Canada. Il faut aller au USA pour l'optenir.

Cost of batteries seem to be increasing for each purchase.

It's so hard to find these batteries decently priced. These are the only ones that fit in the collars for the High Tech Pet Door that I have. The batteries usually last about 2-3 months.
