This two player card game is excellent: - it's inexpensive - the games are short - the rules are simple to learn - while the game has some luck involved, player agency and strategy is also really important - it's fun to replay as you learn the game and experience different hands - it's highly mobile as all you really need to play is the deck of cards - the rules of the game capture the risk taking of undergoing an expedition that may yield any rewards My only complaints are nitpicks: - The face value of the cards are really important. I wish the scores were printed on the top and bottom like playing cards. After shuffling the cards, you have to organize the cards in your hand so they're all facing up. - I wish the cards were higher quality. I noticed some fraying on one of the cards after just two plays. - I wish a smaller box just for the cards was included to make this game more mobile. As I stated above, the game board is nice but not strictly required.
