Spray the bike with a light coat of flat, clear enamel to take off the shine. After it dries, rub the tire tread with fine grit sandpaper for a realistic look. Download some photos of the real thing from Google so you know where and what to paint. Buy some little bottles of the following paints: silver, aluminum, steel, flat black. Paint the disc rotors silver, the bottom of the forks aluminum and the tops silver. Detail the engine with steel; use the "dry brush" method (look it up if you don't know it; it's easy). Fill in chrome engine details with silver. Paint the foot pegs flat black. Paint the bolt heads steel with a tiny pointed brush; just touch a tiny dot of paint on each one. Now, you've taken a cheap toy and made it look almost museum quality. If you want to go overboard, add cables for the brake, throttle, and clutch using some fine wire or tubing.
