The pencil used in these holders will be short -- a stub of one of your favorite pencils. Of course this pencil holder is made for a round pencil, but simply wrap the un-sharpened end of your favorite pencil stub, hexagonal or round doesn't matter, with some scotch tape - it doesn't take much - and it will be held just fine. So yes, just about any standard sized hexagonal or round pencil can be fit to this holder. I do it all the time.

Does it come with a pencil?

Yes. It has s very nice cedar wood pencil. It is a very nice writing lead also

Does it fits the Palomino Blackwind pencils? The Blackwind pencilsare not round, but exagonal. Thanks in advance
