As advertised
Worked as expected. Was good to find out that the switch worked no matter what side the magnet was placed.

Work perfectly for a low power LED light string to automatically turn on/off via proximity on door.
Work perfectly. I used them in my under the stairs closet. I installed some LED light strings on the ceiling in the closet and installed this switch on the wall, wiring it through a MOSFET power relay. When you open the closet door the lights automatically turn on, and they turn off when you close the door. It seems like the lights are always on because as soon as you open the door its illuminated, but of course that's not the case. I didn't need 10 or 15, so this was the only listing I found that had only a couple for a good price. The magnetic sensors already being wired made installation a breeze.

Move Along, Move Along.
These little switches caused me so much headache, because they just quit working out of nowhere. The voltage and amperage were well within specs. I bought six because I needed four. I wired them in first by just twisting the wires. They worked. I then soldered and heat-shrunk the connections. They worked. I mounted them to the doors and cabinet, but one of them didn't work. I replaced it, and one of the others quit working after a day. I was convinced for a while that something was faulty with my wiring or mounting. Turns out these are junk.

Good Product
If these would ship with a simple set of instructions that give wire colors relating to switch functions, it would save the installer some time and frustration. Also, it's nice that they supply attachment screws, it would have been even nicer if they were the correct type of screw. The encapsulated reed switches and magnets appear to be well made and they function great.

blue wire is ground or common
on these magnetic switches the blue wire is the common ground the black wire is for nothing working when magnet is touching! I used this to replace the switch in a safe for lighting! Other thing to know it was a 6 volt system , that used 4 aa batteries , that I replaced with a 5 volt 2 amp amazon cell phone charger seen in picture un shelf!

Weak magnets
The sensors are paired with weak magnets that will only work when mounted in a particular orientation. In the correct mounted orientation the profile looked at from the sides is a U. None of my installs allowed that orientation. I got it to work by using flat magnets from other brands.
