Winco Grill Surface Thermometer with Pot Clip, 2-Inch

Simple and works.

Arrived on time. Quality is as described. Temperature seems to be accurate. It really helped with the cooking process on the grill.

Perfect for the price, works as I wanted in the beer fridge.

I knew my oven thermostat wasn't right! Now I know to lower it by 20 degrees and food doesn't burn. Just hook it towards the back and all you need to do is check it when your oven heats up and see if temps match. Mine just stays in there

It appears there are reviews for several different types of thermometers here. This is for the Winco Grill Surface Thermometer. After several uses, (maybe 8-10) the thermometer cover turned black. While the thermometer may still be registering it does no good since you cannot see it. The thermometer can't be disassembled, so I can't take it apart to clean the glass if that's the problem.

Much bigger than I had envisioned even with the dimensions clearly stated in the description. Stuck in a small pot of water and brought it up to a full roiling boil and the thermometer performed perfectly, clearly recording a water temp of 212F/100C. Found temp markings to be large enough for me to read easily. Overall feel of the thermometer is robust - plenty of sturdy/durable materials used. Clamps securely to pot rim, adjusts easily for depth. Cannot imagine how it could be any better at this price - it seems like a good value at under $8.00 and if it had cost more, I doubt I'd have been disappointed. The metal frame around this thermometer is the best feature. It protects the glass thermometer and prevents it from touching the bottom of your pan. It also has a footing that allows it to stand on its own. If your cooking something at a violent boil the thermometer will fall over but otherwise stands nicely. The frame also has a clip you can attach to your pan to hold it in place. The clip is height adjustable sliding up and down the frame. The temp numbers are large print increasing in 20 degree increments. It also has markers denoting the various stages of candy hardenjng. Thread, soft ball, hard ball, soft crack, hard crack. It also has a marker for Deep Fry. There is a black temp resistant handle made of a hard plastic or composite material. It allows you to remove the thermometer without burning yourself on the hot metal frame.

Small, very hard to read. Useless for a Kegerator.

Just what I expected, no more no less.

It worked well and perfect size for a 10 quart deep fryer.

I bought this to plop down on my Camp Chef Expedition 3 Griddle (16" x 24" #SG90), Just to be able to better gauge the surface temperature. Well several batches of pancakes, fried rice, burgers and other assorted camp food later, I am pleased to say I love it. I read several reviews from similar items that said they fogged up or were inaccurate, but I found this one never did. It is sealed all around (I wouldn't immerse it though), and I found the quality great. It has a large easy to read dial and all in all I found it an excellent value. Be warned however, that this item does not ship from Amazon and if you think you are getting free shipping, you might want confirmation first from the seller as I wound up paying over 8 bucks for shipping when it was suppose to be included in with other items for free shipping and it took almost a month to get here. But having said that, It is still a great unit.

Had 1 before bought more for trailer fridge/freezer and another freezer in our home. Totally happy.
