Does these fit with the motherboard asus strix z270h gaming?

They worked on my ASUS TUF gaming X570. I think I dropped one of the original 4 and it took me a week or to to replace w/these. ASUS might put 6 in the envelope hoping 4 survive to use. But all is fine now.

Is the washer necessary?

Technically no... I was able to keep my m.2 installed without anything (no screw or washer or anything) for about a week while I waited to install this. I just had it plugged in by itself. I don't think you would need the washer with the screw if you didn't want to have it but it does help keep it tighter. I probably wouldn't move my pc if it wasn't super tight after you try it.
