This patch actually sticks to your skin well! Other brands sell clear patches, and they just would not stick to my skin, so I am very happy.Also, I am not experiencing the arm soreness I had with another brand, so that's another big plus.Bought this for a better price than Nicoderm, which I had used previously. Seems to work the same...too soon to say for sure.This patch is round and ivory colored.

I believe the reason why this product doesn't have a 5 star review is the question about "flavor". Amazon, that's non-applicable to this product. Having said that, here's my review: Excellent product! I tried Step 2 with the NicoDerm patch and not only did it do nothing to control the cravings, it left a square burn wherever I placed the patch. I tried Chantix. The product worked great but I got a terrible rash after using the product for a week. Habitrol is a combination of the two products minus the burn and rash. Smokers know their triggers - coffee/alcohol, after meals, when we wake up in the morning, driving, toilet time, etc. I use Nirdosh herbal cigarettes for those times. Our society tends to believe no cigarettes are good for you, however, the Nirdosh herbal cigarettes are based onancient Ayruveda text. It applies healing as opposed to harm. This combination of Habitrol and Nicotine free Nirdosh cigarettes have changed my life.

I've quit many times -- yes, patches work, but a friend offers me a cigarette and three years later I'm still smoking. I've found that the least effective are the store brand generics. I tend to use Nicoderm patches, but this time, I ran out and only Habitrol was available for overnight shipping. With the Habitrol, I've found that my cravings have completely disappeared. It wasn't that after ten days on Nicoderm I didn't have cravings anymore. I had cravings with Nicodern, and the next day, zero cravings with Habitrol. In that respect, Habitrol is better than Nicoderm. I suspect that Habitrol has more effective and stronger release of Nictoine; I can put on a patch early in the day and have crazy nicotine dreams that night.That said, with the Habitrol, I've been having a harder time falling asleep and achiving REM sleep. My brain feels constantly stimulated. I am quite sensitive to substances, though. For many people, this might not be an issue. For the next two weeks, I have to choose: zero cravings and disrupted sleep, or more cravings but better sleep?Habitrol seems to stay on my arm better than Nicoderm. It doesn't catch on my clothing (particularly bra straps when dressing). I've spent time in an ocean and a pool wearing either patch, and I covered the patch with waterproof tape. In those instances, Nicoderm seemed to fare better in terms of staying dry and staying attached, perhaps because I needed only one piece of tape versus two for the Habitrol, so there was less chance of water seeping in. Nicoderm step 2 is slightly smaller than the Habitrol step 2 patch. (I wouldn't expect any patch to remain adhered to my arm in water without some sort of covering. I use Dimore transparent dressing.)Habitrol doesn't irritate my skin as much as Nicoderm (and I have very sensitive skin). Nicoderm will leave sticky gum on your arm that you have to remove with rubbing alcohol. Habitrol hasn't left any residue on my skin.Relief of cravings is the purpose of the patch, and between Nicoderm and Habitrol, Habitrol is more effective. (I don't recommend bothering with generic store brands if you're serious about quitting.) However, you may experience lower quality sleep. I might start removing the patch at night to avoid that. Be sure to clean the area where you'll put the patch -- I use soap and water to remove lotion -- and press down for at least ten seconds. I do 20 seconds, and the patch sticks well.

I had a stroke and had to stop smoking. After years of using cigarettes as my emotional support device I knew it would be difficult. These did the trick with no side effects. Haven’t had a cigarette since July 9th and going strong.

I've used patches before, the name brand. I thought I'd save some money but these ended up not working for me. They didn't stick well at all no matter where I put them, even right after a shower. I even used some rubbing alcohol to make sure there weren't excessive oils preventing it from sticking. No dice.I suggest trying other brands or seeking an alternative cessation solution.

This product is amazing. If you smoke cigarettes then you must wait 8 hours to use it. Once you place it on you get a rush of nicotine that gives you a nice buzz that lasts 15 minutes. I’m on my first week and I can say that I don’t get urges to smoke a cigarette. I get the right amount with this patch and enjoy my day eating food. I gained 2 pounds in just a week, imagine in 6 months I’ll gain 20-30 pounds. I love it. Oh and for the haters, this sticks on your skin. You gotta clean the area with alcohol and dry it off for this to stick, and you must press firmly for 15 seconds. Now I can enjoy fresh air and smell good again without a trail of smoke odor on my clothes. Good luck to all of you. I’m a believer now. 😍

Just got this patches 3 days ago and they don't adhere to the skin at all !! I make sure my skin is very clean and dry and I noticed it makes me sweat! Never had an issue with other brands.
