I love this spa
I have had a Spa2Go for many years- pretty much since they first came out with this spa (12 or more years!). I use it almost every day. It is a very inexpensive way to have a spa- and I find it more comfortable than most spas that I have used, because the bottom and sides are basically air mattresses, and I can pretty much float in the water (I am 5'6")- no room is taken up with seats.I love the tech support and customer service, which is provided by Oceantis. They have always been friendly and helpful, and have sometimes extended warranties for me. Given the low price for this spa, it is amazingly reliable, but parts do wear out on any spa (hot water and chemicals work against extreme longevity), and through the years, I have bought both replacement parts and a new spa. My last experience was typical of the extraordinary lengths that the company will go to service a problem. I bought a spa in 2011, and the pump started leaking in 2012. I could not find my paperwork, and was really unsure about whether the warranty was still in effect. I was leaving town for 6 weeks the next day, so I had no time to call them to discuss it. 6 weeks later, I was sure that the pump was out of warranty, and I was prepared to just bite the bullet and buy a new one. I called the company to get them to send me a shipping label so that I could send them the defective pump (to avoid filling the landfill needlessly). Instead of taking back the pump, which they would have been able to repair and sell to another customer refurbished, they authorized a free repair- saving me $450!I do not understand why other reviewers are so negative about this company. The story above describes only one of many favorable interactions that I have had with their support. I highly recommend the company and their products!

Bummed
I have purchaed 2 of these over the space of 4 years. First one lasted 3 months, same with the second. The heating element went both times. Company told me I could have it shipped back to them and repaired at MY expense. I needed the spa for physical therapy and felt let down by the product and the company. I no longer have the funds to replace the spa so have no pain relief and an empty pocket book :(

you get what you pay for
Didn not last a year. First the inflatable tub starts leaking air and I could not patch it. Had to buy a new inlatable tub. Then, the motor goes out. Apparently there are some filters made for this model in which the black spongy ring on the bottom of the filter disintegrates and fouls up the motor. Buy filters ONLY from the manufacturer. This spa may be suitable in limited settings, such as taking it with you on your RV. But, be prepared to continuously replace the components. I am buying a REAL molded solid spa next time. cheaper in the end, and I can use it outside in cold weather. The inflatables you cannot unless you own an electricsl company.

however is EXCELLENT! They were always friendly and helpful
Had this for 3 years. The pump was quite a problem. Had to have the water in the tub so high for it to function properly that when you turned on the bubbles water splashed out of the tub. First year I had to send the motor back for warranty repairs. No cost for the repair, but needed to pay $60.00 shipping charges to send in and $60.00 shipping for them to send it back. Second year it needed repairs again. They mailed the parts and talked me thru the repair( Also send diagrams) It uses a filter you can only buy from the manufacturer. The filters were expensive and more shipping charges. The 3rd year, one of the inner seams split and the water went between the inner and outer wall so the tub would not inflate and needed to be replaced. Their customer service staff, however is EXCELLENT! They were always friendly and helpful. Were great about sending and emailing helpful information. In the event of a power failure or turning it off to change filters or emptying to clean annually, the restart and bleeding was a problem. The tub felt great when everything was working, though. Recently replaced it with an Intex model. So far. so good. We'll see what happens over time.

Inexpensive and easy to move. (And how to maintain your pump)
I used to own a traditional above ground spa, but when I moved, this became a huge headache. I ended up just selling it (at a big loss). Then I realized all I really wanted to do is soak my weary bones after work. So I wanted to get another one, but didn't want a big monstrosity to deal with anymore. So after some research I ended up with the Spa 2 go for a couple of reasons. This one is 250 gallons whereas most of the others are around 200 gallons (have to look carefully at the descriptions for this). It worked just fine. And was pleasantly surprised that it was quiet as a mouse. And it draws 1,250 watt's (only when heating) which is nothing for a spa. I don't turn on the bubbler because even when I had the full size spa it just wanted to soak. Turning on the bubbler in this is the equivalent to the sound of turning on a hair dryer. And it cools the spa down rapidly. But this "is" a inflatable spa so you can't have everything. I found the fittings and the vinyl to be well engineered and sturdy enough. but was afraid to just lay it on dirt or patio. So I went and bought a 3" thick Styrofoam panel and cut it to create a floor for it. It keeps it safe and insulates it from the cold ground. Worked out well. So I am happy. And if I move or want to relocate it. It all can be emptied and deflated and just put in a box. The whole thing probably doesn't weigh more than 30 lbs.So after reading some of the negative reviews I thought I would educate some people on exactly the spa heater/pump is. I don't know about earlier models. But this one "is NOT" a friction motor design. It has a independent spa heater (1kw) just like the big spa's. The pump is high efficiency dedicated pump (100 watts). And sounds like a little aquarium pump. how do I know all this? I took it apart :)I was impressed to find several safety feature in there. First it has a GFI, then "two" thermal sensors, A pressure switch on the heater to disable it if there is no water flow. Then some electronics in a water tight case to manage all this.In case anybody is interested 1kw is nothing compared to a real spa (at 3-5 kw) So if your also trying to keep your electrical bill down. This spa is about as energy efficient as you can expect for something that keeps 250 gallons hot.If your wondering about how many people can get into this thing, I would say "two" unless everybody wants to cross their legs. For one it is perfect.------ How to maintain AND fix your spa pump ----------Since every bad review on here seems to revolve around their pump breaking down. I thought I would shed some light on the matter. If you see an error code of E1 or E2 or other similar. Since your getting an error code it is trying to save your equipment (And not melt down your spa). Blank screen is when you really have problems.E1 and E2 are simply the temperature sensors indicating they think they are not working. While it is impractical for the average user to start taking apart their spa pump. It is quite easy to clear these errors. These sensors are just within your inlet/outlet hoses. What has most likely happened is that they are dirty. Simply unscrew these hoses from the spa (obviously either empty it or stick something in the holes so you don't have a flood) Of course unplug it also. And take your garden hose and an good high pressure nozzle and thoroughly shoot a stream of water in there to clear these sensors. Don't worry you won't break a thing, they are tough. Chances are some algae has grown over them. If your getting an actual pump problem that is easy too. Unscrew the filter cartridge and remove the filter. Squirt a water stream into the center hole this is the pump impeller. Most likely some gunk has locked it up. If that doesn't work, take a twig or similar object and give the impeller a couple of rotations. DONT use something metal or put alot of force on it. It is a delicate plastic impeller. If you find it was stuck and now turns freely. Your ready to start using your spa again. If it turned freely already then you can try to force some water down by taking the nozzle off and using water pressure to back flood the pump. In most cases this should do the trick. If you still get E1/E2 error codes, then your sensors are corroded because of improper PH. If your handy and have a few hours to take it apart. You might be able to clean off the corrosion and use it again or buy a new sensor assembly. They do sell the parts (at a very high price of course) Same goes for the pump. But the case is very tricky to get open, don't do this unless your ready for some fun....If your one of those guys who is on his 3rd or 4th pump in these reviews. I suggest checking your PH levels. It only takes a week or so to corrode your sensors if your ph is way off.
