The Night Before First Grade

Ordered this book for my daughter who started first grade. We loved reading this together the night before her first day. Her teacher read the same book on her first day of school. She loved!

I gave this book to my daughter the night before her first day, and she loved it! The story is fun, easy to follow, and really helped ease her nerves about starting first grade. A sweet tradition for back-to-school.

I purchased this for my friend's child. She has been so nervous to start 1st grade. After reading the book, she seemed less nervous & very excited. This was such a cute book to read.

The story is sweet, funny, and super relatable—especially for little ones who are a mix of excited and nervous about a new school year. She loved seeing Penny so pumped to be with her best friend, and the twist at the end had us both smiling. The rhyming style is fun to read aloud, and the illustrations are colorful and full of energy. This book made bedtime the night before school so much more special—and way less scary. Highly recommend for any soon-to-be first grader!

I bought this as a surprise for my son who is going into first grade. He loves the book. I think this will help him be prepared for his first day of first grade.

I thought this book would excite my daughter as she started first grade, but it was just meh. It might be good to read to your child in the summer leading up to the start of first grade, but really ended up being an unnecessary purchase for the night before first grade started.
