Very satisfied - Works as advertised, Extremely useful. Without issue 6+ months now.
Great performance for the cost compared to competitors. The quality really seems to be here, several other reviews of previous versions of this model can be found on youtube from folks who have had basically this alpicool unit for OVER 4 years and zero issues - so we too pulled the trigger. We have been using this for 6+ months now without any issues or complaints... just praise. It sits in the back of our SUV and we use it while grocery shopping as it allows to keep the essentials - like Ice Cream - frozen until we get home. Our drive is on average about 40+ min from home to the stores so this has been a wonderful change for us. It has also given us the flexibility to stop after shopping and go into a restaurant for dinner and such. We use the 115v adapter that comes with it (also comes with a 12v adapter if you only have that in your vehicle) while plugged into the back of our vehicle (which has a built in inverter). We do not have this on a "always on" battery or connection so when we turn the car off, it turns off. This has NOT been an issue even when we go in to eat at a restaurant for up to a couple of hours. We have done this several times on the hot summer days and after having the unit already be at 5F or so when we stopped the car and when we return its usually around 40-50F or so and cools right back down very quick. We use all the features listed on this - from the echo cool mode to the max cool which can rapidly cool the unit from 85F to -5F in less than 20 min on max cool. We change it via their bluetooth app when we drive in to do grocery shopping. Although the divider lets us split compartments to do freezer and fridge on opposite sides we have found that for the most part we take out the divider and just use it all as a freezer or fridge depending on what we get. If we don't do this some of the larger items such as steaks and meat packages do not fit. We have been very happy with this purchase and have recommended this to several of our friends. It has really helped change how we do grocery shopping since we live a ways out from the stores.

Absolutely great for long trips
After reading reviews and considering price and features, I purchased this product for an extended trip out west. I was a little cynical that it would be able to maintain the temperatures as well as it did, especially the frozen side since my travel coincided with hot environmental temperatures. The product worked as described and I am very happy. There was only one incident - described below - that gave me pause. Before taking on your trip, plug it in the night before, set the temperatures, place in vehicle, then fill with your food items. Since I was in a car and tried to limit moving it in and out, I purchased a 100 foot extension cord so it could be plugged in to 110. The cord for the lighter plug in was plenty long to reach from the back seat to the front. To keep the cooler level during the trip, I placed wood in the seat with a small piece of plywood. To keep the cooler out of the sun, I used a car shade. PROS - Maintained temperature for both sides. It kept fruit and ice frozen. Kept milk and water nice and cold. - Easy to set up and use - Spacious enough to purchase food and keep water cold so as not to constantly eat at restaurants. CONS After using it, I do not really have any true cons, just being picky; however, during the drive through the mountains that basically had switch backs, the unit stopped working. I was going to leave it in the car but carried it in the house, plugged it in to various outlets and it still did not come back on. I left it unplugged and turned off for a couple of hours and it came back on. I can only surmise that the constant back and forth in the mountains affected the compressor. I would suggest if you are traveling through the mountains with many sharp curves, turn off and leave off for a while just as it said when arriving new. The only true con is that there is only one lid (but I understand why). So when you open to get items out of the frig side and leave the lid up for an extended period of time, the freezer side is exposed. I brought along extra 1 inch foam to insulate the cooler during the drive. I placed the insulation over the freezer side while the lids was up - perfect!

Cooler is well made, efficient, and one of the few you can get a dual zone in this small of a size.
I purchased this T50 unit for a van conversion I will be doing and the cost for this brands dual zone is significantly less then a Dometic CFX along with it was the only one I could find with dual zone in a 50 quart size I thought I would take the chance. My two concerns were quality and efficient to run off of solar power. When I first started the unit it ran for about a minute then faulted. I reset the fault and let it sit for a while thinking it may have been placed on its side during shipping. I have not had a fault issue since. I have had this unit for just under 2 weeks and have done many tests that follow. On each of these tests I opened the cooler door three times each day for abut 20 seconds each. I ran the cooler in single zone mode from room temp to a set point of 33 degrees F and let it run for a day then shut it down for a day to let the cooler warm back up to room temp then repeated this process 3 times. It ran great and with a set point of 33F the coolers actual inside temp was 36F. It took the cooler about 2 hours to reach temp and it draws about 11 watts every hour, keep in mind that this wattage average was over a 24 hour period and you had the initial pump run (60 watts) for its initial cool down. I then ran the cooler in dual zone mode from room temp to a set point of 40/10F (if using the dual zone mode as a cooler/freezer make sure the L shaped zone is the colder zone) and let it run for a day then shut it down for a day to let the cooler warm back up to room temp then repeated this process 3 times. It ran great again and with a set point of 40F the cooler zones actual inside temp was 36F and with a set point of 10F the freezer zones actual inside temp was 8F and it did freeze a glass of water. It took the cooler zone about 2 hours to reach temp and the freezer zone about 3 hours to reach temp. The cooler draws about 20 watts every hour in dual zone as a cooler/freezer setup, keep in mind that this wattage average was over a 24 hour period and you had the initial pump run (60 watts) for its initial cool down. I wanted to see how long this unit would run on my Yeti Goal Zero 1400 and by math (1400Wh/8W/1h) should be about 175 hours or 7 days. As a note in order to use any of these compressor type coolers that have a low voltage shutoff feature on a 12VDC lithium type battery you need to have a regulator or your cooler will shut off when your lithium battery reaches about 50% capacity. Yet sells a regulator just for this reason. My yeti was at 99% when I started and as of now it is at 40% and has been running the cooler for 89 hours (3.7 days) with 40% more battery to go.

When it works it works well, but doesn't last, T-60 only lasts 4 months
I am on my third alpicool cooler fridge. I have purchased 2 with the generic alpicool compressor, and 1 with the lg compressor. The t-60 has a dual zone refrigeration system that uses a single compressor and utilizes a valve to select where the refrigerant goes. This is the biggest cooler that you're going to fit between the seats of a freightliner cascadia (2019 generation) daycab, it’s snug between the back wall and the dash... I typically set mine at 38f for cold drinks and 4f for frozen food storage for supper. I love that it has wheels for the occasional times I need to pull it along the ground. This isn't that light empty, and has a Lot of room to make it stupid heavy when you load it up. I love that it has digital controls with a actual temperature setting and reading, and that you can have even more control when you connect to it via the app. It really doesn't draw much power when running, which helps. The drain plug is a nice addition for cleaning. Unfortunately customer support seems to have diminished over time, they were ready to help with my first cooler, but when the second one failed after 4 months I couldn't even get a response. Hopefully the manufacturer will see this review and re-evaluate, given it's durability issues.... *Update, 4 months in and lgt-60 has also FAILED. This is a lot of money for such a short term solution. Further inspection revealed wires corroded out on the cf-55 (my first alpicool) after over 3 years of service.

Great product, sips power, compressor a bit weak
Pros: Sips power (see below), quiet and versatile with the dual zone. Mobile app works great, Bluetooth has excellent range Cons: Compressor seems like it may be under powered. Struggled to maintain temperatures below 10F So I ran a few power tests on my 500wh solar generator at 67F ambient temperature. First was a stress test. I put in a few room temperature freezer packs and water bottles. Ran it on eco first with left compartment at 32 and right at -4. It was drawing about 22 watts on eco. After a couple hours freezer temperature had only dropped to around 15 so I changed from eco to max. Power draw went from low 20s to mid 30s. After 4 hours the battery back was at 80% so about 100wh used. Which was consistent with what the power meter was saying at an average of 25 or so watts between eco and max. Temperature only dropped to around 8F in freezer. Water hadn’t iced over yet at this point. Compressor ran constantly all 4 hours. So I could expect around 600wh over a 24 hour period. I then plugged it into AC and left it running overnight to see if I could get it to drop to the set temp. Best I could do was briefly hit 2F but it usually stayed around 10F. It seems that the compressor really couldn’t keep up. It ran constantly during this time as far as I could tell. All water was frozen solid at this point but couldn’t get it below zero. So this is probably fine if you need to keep ice frozen but for something like ice cream (which has a lower freezing temperature due to the salt and cream) it’s probably only going to work to keep it cool for a short period of time before it gets soft. Now it could be if I had both compartments a little more full with more thermal mass it could hold temperatures better. Time will tell. I was able to get it to hold to around 4F if I turned off the left compartment (which you can do by pressing and holding the + and - buttons) and let the compressor focus exclusively on the right side so there are some options there. I then set the left to 38F and bottom to 20F and plugged it back into the solar generator and let it run overnight. I noticed the power draw was around 20 watts this time. And when I checked again in the morning the generator was at 78% after 13 hours running. Ice was still frozen solid. So about an average of 8.5wh during that time. Indicating the compressor was running for maybe 40% of the time or so that works out to around 200wh over a 24 hour period. Now these numbers aren’t 100% accurate as I’m sure the battery meter on the power bank has some play in it but probably a good general estimate as to what to expect. My final test was to see if I could get it down to -4. So I wrapped it in small blanket, being sure to leave the vents unblocked. Set the left to 38 with a 10 degree hysteresis and plugged it into AC. Beginning temp was 20 on right. After about 3 hours it hit -4 and the compressor shut off. So it can be done but it took the right conditions. I probably still wouldn’t trust it to maintain temperatures below 10F in normal conditions. I did just order one of those insulated covers they make for these that just popped up on Amazon. We I’m we see if that helps. Will be interested to see how it works in higher ambient temperatures this summer.

Fantastic Refrigerator/Icebox
We do a fair amount of cross-country driving. Usually have a cooler w/us depending on the trip. This trip was a 4 day drive and we had to bring in food supplies and needed to stay frozen. During the trip up, dry ice was particularly hard to find. Regular Ice just didn't keep the meats frozen like we needed. For the return trip, we purchased the Alpicool T60 Fridge/Freezer. Looking at primarily the freezer operation in this case to haul back the fish, meat and vegetables we were bringing home. The Cooler met and exceeded my expectations. When we got it, read thru the instructions and got it cooling down to -10 degrees w/in about 45 min. on AC pwr. If using only as a freezer, it's very easy to operate. To use as a Fridge/Freezer, you place the patrician back in and it splits the operation of the cooler into a Freezer/Fridge operation. You can set each section individually at the temps you want. In our case we only needed the Freezer operation for this trip. Works really well whether on AC power or DC power. Since it didn't have a battery to keep it running at night when we'd stop, we'd roll the cooler into our room and plug it in. Back in the truck, back on DC power. Operationally was great. By the time we got the Cooler home, it had started to develop frost inside the cooler and everything was frozen solid. Had two complaints about it, but not enough of an issue to me to drop a star off the rating. 1. The instructions were not laid out well. The instruction manual had multiple models listed in the manual. Was confusing at first which page was for our unit. Because there was so much info on the pamphlet, the text was small and in my opinion, needed to be re-written to make the instructions more clear & simple. As a Tech minded guy, I knew what they were trying to say, others may have struggled w/it. My suggestion for them is the just have the one pamphlet for the one product only on the sheet. I know it will cost a few more pennies to have multiple instruction pamphlets, but think it would be worth it. 2. Was not impress w/the handles to move the cooler. Yes it had wheels on it, but when you have one of the larger coolers loaded, depending on what you are hauling, the cooler could be 40 to 65 pounds or more. As they coolers get larger, My suggestion would be to add another set of wheels on the other end of the cooler so you could just pull it along. Trying to roll the cooler w/the extended handle they provide, made for a strenuous lean and bend of the back when you go from parking lots to rooms and back. As well, the handle that you use, should be thicker and rounded, maybe even padded. Would fit the hand better. After moving the cooler into my room the first night, I had very red pinch marks on my hands from hauling the cooler to my room. Took a few days for the pinch/bruising to go away. Was it the end of the world, no, just a bit of an annoyment. Moving forward, I'm going to get one of those little collapsable luggage dollies and will be all good. Like I said, my 2 gripes, were just that gripes. Not show stoppers by any mean. Overall though; Fantastic cooler. very pleased with it. Highly recommend it!

Bang for Buck Fridge\Freezer on the go
Have had mine for ~4 weeks now, have been on 2 camping trips with it. The 5 stars is purely based on bang for the buck. In a head to head with a danfoss compressor or similar level system it would probably be a solid 3-4. Not sure if another clone has popped out or not yet but this is the smallest dual zone I found. I was not particularly needing the dual zone, but the option to have it in this size is pretty awesome for a smaller setup where you can't fit/don't need a 60L+ unit. The power draw to maintain a freezer section is high compared to fridge only. Power draw seems to max around 60 watts. Duty cycle once temp is established is maybe 20% run time for the compressor (higher if maintaining freezer zone). ECO draws a bit less and duty cycle is lower. Be careful how often you open it when in ECO if you want to maintain consistently good temps. In practical terms... I have a 500 watt hour power unit and it will run the unit for less than a day. Good for overnight with the battery dedicated to running the unit but not for multiple days unless you have a way to charge it. In fridge mode however... looks like it can do 3-5 days depending on how it is loaded, how often you are opening things etc... and that is in an Alabama summer environment. If you want to run it off your car battery it does have a battery management feature which you can set high medium or low basically meaning it will shut off a different voltage levels as the battery drains. I would only rely on it if you are with others and have jumper cables in case it drains your batteries. If boondocking alone I recommend a completely independent battery for running the fridge. Something that is not very clear is that the center divider comes out so that you are left with a single zone system. The controls recognize if the separator is installed or not which is pretty nice. The baskets are designed to have the center divider in place so as a single zone you will need to come up with another way to manage storage or have to deal with them rattling around as you drive. My unit came with unadvertised blue tooth capability allowing you to keep an eye on temps, and change any settings from an app available both on the apple app store and google play store. Seem sit is something of a Russian roulette situation on whether or not you get a unit with this capability. There also appears to be an LG compressor that some ship with that is pretty quite and a bit more efficient. Mine does not have it. Noise level is.... bearable. But in max power mode the compressor cycles can be pretty obnoxious before it settles down a bit. ECO mode is a bit better but still not exactly great. I originally thought I would put this unit in the screen room of our tent so I could share the battery I run it with... I now only keep it in the car overnight due to the noise. It isn't so much the noise itself is all that bad, the problem is it is kind of random and not consistent so it would be likely to difficult to fall asleep if it were nearby. Lastly... couple minor details. The measurement for width does NOT include the wheels. However it is pretty easy to take them off if need be. It is about an inch wider that listed with them on. My instructions were incorrect about which unit had to be the freezer in mixed mode. The freezer side is the L shaped section over the compressor. The controls on mine will not let me set the wrong side low and if you increase temps on the L shaped section above the setting for the fridge section they will both change setting values.

great inexpensive versatile multi voltage refrigerator
had it 3 months. i use it daily. i drive a semi and it fits with plenty of room behind passrnger seat. i especially love the handle and wheels. so when i go home i can wheel it out to car and plug it back in. it draws very little power and is quiet. but font put itnin trunk! lol i didvthat on a 100 plus day and itvthrough a overtemp code. was blisteringbhotbin trunk. i also have large sub amplifier back there. it had a minor hiccup. fridge section was dropping to 8 degrees(was set at 35) it was still set at 35 but actual temp was dropping. i figured it had sensor iced over or something so lifted divider with trays and dropped lightly couple times. started climbing back up. i live out of this thing anf make fresh food and store it and am very happy. i had a 1.7cf dorm fridge was large in truck had to bungee door shut and items bounced arounf also drew alot more power and could hear compressor rattling on bumpy rds(which to be honest is all rds in america in a truck lol) it tripped inverter overload couple times guessing compressor shorted. anyways i highly recommend it. i bought an indel which is very nice and reliable but it isnt dual zone and no wheels which sucks when u have to transport it couple hundted ft. if this unit had danfoss compressor it would b perfect. but it might turnnout to be just as reliable. sorry if u are unfortunate to actually have read this whole review lol. #####update year later. This fridge is ok but dont leave unattended for a week itll freeze up. Also doesnt work well in any heat above 85 degrees. I used thermal paint in my trunk then lined with reflektix and felt then cut 4 inch hole in body with fan exhausting into bumper. Still overheats. If in sun overheats if outside in 100 degree in shade with insulation it overheats. I put my indelb fridge in trunk same parameters and it performed excellentlly. I even packed stuff around it and no issues didnt need to blow fan on it or anything. So as car dweller alpicool fails but if you have semi or van and it never gets hot and have adequate ventilation it is ok otherwise just get inverter and use cheap fridge or get dometic indelb arb etc...also itll kill 2 200ah batteries in a week with 50 watt solar and 1 to 3hr a day of car charging (driving) indelb didnt even take 10% with less driving and in shade. 90 to 100 f temps
