Q: How durable are these? I just tried using a set my wife got from somewhere else and while lightly pressing down on the lid the bottoms cracked.

These are durable. Ive had them for over 5 months and they get put through the dishwasher and the lids still fit and reused every day

Larger side (inside dimensions) is approximately 5x5 inches. Smaller side (inside dimensions) is approximately 5x2 3/4 inches.
