Cool (color) light, adjustable brightness. Great for lighting dark halls or stairs.
We bought two of these to add some night lighting to a dark back staircase. On the "medium" light setting they put out more than enough light for this purpose and we're pleased with the purchase. Notes: - The color of the light is cooler, more like a 4k LED than an incandescent - The unit has a sensor so the light will come on automatically when it gets dark (unless the unit has been manually set to "off") - The units have different light settings including "off", "ultra low", "low", "medium" and "high", which are manually changed by pressing the face of the light - These come with two different "covers" for the light; one clear plastic piece and a "grill" fixed louvers that face down. They are easily switched by sliding one off and sliding the other on. - These say "tamper resistant", which to me sometimes means 'impossible to insert a plug' but I have not found them to be difficult at all Pros: - Easy to install and well made - Sleek addition of auto-on, auto-off night lighting without loss of outlets - Adjustable brightness is a nice feature - Definitely more than enough light to see your way in the dark Cons: - If you're looking for a warm color light, you may not be pleased with these. There appears to be an "amber" version that may be more suitable as a nightlight: https://www.amazon.com/Legrand-Seymour-radiant-NTL885TRAMBERW-Outlets/dp/B07FMTJ8B2/ref=sr_1_2?th=1 - The "grill" cover doesn't do much to direct the light, and light bleeds around the outside of it (photo attached) so I didn't find it to be a good looking option.

Great so far!
Easy to install, adjustable night light works great in every place in my house - bath, hallway, foyer.

Work well in the hallway
I bought 2 of these for use in our hallway. They illuminate nicely at night (not too bright, but certainly bright enough). Was able to free up the outlets we used to plug night-lights into. This is much more efficient.

The unit installs very easily. It’s just a replacement of the outlet plate ...
The indoor path from my basement family room, to the bedrooms is obviously dark at night. In order to prevent family members from having to turn on, and potentially leaving lights on all the way through the house I was looking for a night light solution. I bought three different products including the one listed here. I’m posting the same review in each product for simplicity. First, the SnapPower Guidelight - Outlet Coverplate with LED Night Lights, Duplex. This was the product I had the most hope for, and it was the most disappointing for the purpose I needed it for. The unit installs very easily. It’s just a replacement of the outlet plate cover and of the three products, it was the easiest to install. My problems, which may be only pertinent to my needs and use of the light are twofold. First, the amount of light is not really adequate. If it the only light you are relying on to navigate a dark hallway or other space, it’s not bright enough. I would use it in a bedroom though, perhaps for a child that wanted some light. The second problem was the light sensor is not sensitive enough. The light stayed on almost all the time, unless it was very bright (think full sunlight) in the room. This is not a disaster as the LED lights are very energy efficient, but just something that I think could be improved. Second, the Legrand-Pass & Seymour NTL885TRWCC6 Nightlight with Two 15 AMP Outlets with Cover. This unit took more effort to install than the SnapPower as it was an outlet swap-out. It also required a new plate cover, the same kind that covers a GFIC outlet works perfectly, but is something else that must be purchased. The Legrand is brighter than the SnapPower light and was very adequate for lighting the dark hallway. It however suffered the same short coming in that the light sensor was not sensitive enough and the light stays on most all day long. It is not installed in a dark, long hallway either and I know about, and did adjust the sensitivity. It was just not adequate from keeping the light on most of the day. Third, the Eaton TR7735W 3-Wire Receptacle Combo Nightlight with Tamper Resistant 2-Pole. Installation was similar to the Legrand-Pass unit. It did however require that both the neutrals be twisted together and a short pigtail wired be used to connect to the single neutral post on the outlet. Add one wire nut, and one very short piece of 14-gauge wire to installation. This unit also required a new plate cover, the same as used to cover a GFIC outlet. It also replaces one outlet with a nightlight, so there is a trade-off. For my use, this was not an issue as the only thing that ever gets plugged into the hall outlets is a vacuum. As for function, the Eaton outperformed the other two in both brightness (which is adjustable) and light sensitivity. It turns the light on at a ambient light level that is just when you need it to come on. It is off during the day, on when you need it. I’ve be buying more of these units to light the path all the way to the bedrooms in my home. In rating these, I didn’t consider the ease of installation as they were all fairly easy for me, but if you’re not comfortable changing out an electrical outlet either hire a pro, or go with the SnapPower Guidelight. Otherwise, opt for the Eaton, unless giving up an outlet is not an option in which case the Legrad-Pass is the best solution. In any case, any of the three are superior to a nightlight sticking out of the wall and I would recommend any one of them.

Fashionable solution for a night light
I really like this outlet. I installed this in a new baby's bedroom where plugs were at a premium (only three receptacles in the room excluding the switched one for a light. The install was as easy as any other outlet, and it was a higher-grade receptacle that supports back wiring (NOT backstabs, but screwed-down wiring through the back, similar to what's common in GFCIs). In a very small electrical box, the size could be a concern - it's larger than a normal receptacle but smaller than a GFCI. The night light isn't as bright as most plug-in ones are, but it's not unreasonable either. It comes with a second baffle so you can direct the light down onto the floor if you prefer. Word of warning: the design depends upon the wall plate to keep the diffuser in place. If you remove the wall plate (to paint the room, for example), there is the potential to lose the diffuser. This is a TR outlet, which is a nice touch given that it's likely to be used in a child's room given the built in nightlight. I will say, I was able to defeat the shutter with a single multimeter probe. I had to REALLY push and really work at it, but it was possible to do, which is a shame. I am not able to do the same on the TR outlets that I own from Leviton. Still, it's probably safe enough to keep a baby from accidentally getting zapped. Overall, really solid product. A couple of minor flaws to be aware of, but in general it does what it says on the package and does it well.

Add flexibility to your outlets without moving Nightlights
My house was wired with standard outlets throughout. We moved night lights from hallways to bathrooms to bedrooms depending on when guest stayed with us. Our guests would move / remove nightlights causing us to constantly be searching for where nightlights ended up. It was utterly ridiculous. Scavenging your own home to deal with decisions of having guests. I initially installed these in hallways, but after installing a few, these grew to be my favorite outlet with great flexibility to offer a customizable nightlight without sacrificing a plug to do so. The 2 lens option offers great flexibility to differentiate between bedrooms and hallways. Brightness wise, the high setting, is more than enough to navigate easily. Any brighter and the glare w/o diffuser lens would take away from the enjoyment of the rectical.

Great product, easy installation. Only requires a regular ground wire, NOT a neutral wire.
I hesitated before buying a set of these lighted outlets because one of the Amazon reviewers said they require a neutral wire, which most home outlets do not have. I feared having to call an electrician. Not to worry. The outlets only use a normal GROUND wire, the bare wire that is in virtually every receptacle in almost every a modern home. There is a huge difference between a ground wire and a neutral wire, and the reviewer accidentally used the wrong scary term. The installation was easy. They look great. I used normal faceplates, not the fancy LeGrand screwless faceplate. Also responding to other reviewers, my outlets were dark in the daytime and lit at night, exactly as intended. As for the little louver, it is an excellent design and stays in place just firmly enough so you can slide it off to adjust the light intensity, again exactly as intended. When lit, it does not overheat. It has none of the flaws that a few others have alleged. Buy this outlet, it is worth the price.

Works great, dimmable or off light
I have these in both bathrooms and in the hall by the stairs. Nice not having to use the full lights when using bathroom in middle of the night, and they are dimmable and you can turn the light off if you want.
