The bb4000.1 is for real !!!!!
After reading the reviews I decided on buying this model to replace the sub amp in my truck that I sold to finish an install. I have a small stereo business and have been installing for over 30 years. First the quality of the amp is top notch. No flimsy rca or power hook ups and I do like the ratchet type pot meters on most of the settings. It has a fan on the bottom of the amp for added cooling as well. I listen to classic rock and like the kick drum hit rather than the boom from my subs. I pushing 2 sound stream 12's that are located right behind my seats in a Dodge Ram pick up. I thought they hit hard before with my old amp but this amp pushes them twice as hard. I was looking at the large Alpine amps to replace my old amp because I had installed several and they do have a lot of clean power but they didn't make a model with a lot of power to fit under my seat. This amp is somewhat long but very narrow for an amp with this much power. So I purchased this one. To get the full output of this amp one would need a hefty upgrade of their electrical system. I have a small upgrade (230 amp alternator and 2 yellow top batteries). I have the gain set to 10 o clock and the bass boost at around 11. At these low settings this amp delivers a great deal of power to my subs and I have no doubt that they could blow them if I went any higher. The subs are rated for 1200 rms and 3000 peak. Although this amp pushes my speakers harder my lights dim less than with the older amp. I would say this amp is very efficient for the power it delivers. I have the means to buy any amp on the market but why waste money on big name brand amps when this unit delivers way more power and clarity than I would ever need. My son plugged in some hip hop to see how well the amp performed on the low bass and it was insane how loud things got in that truck. I turned it down after only a few second because it really hurt my ears and at my age I don't need any more of that. I have installed tons of stereo in my day but Bang for the buck factor goes to this amp hands down. This amp is for real and I can't think of any amp for $250 that could compete. I got out the truck and let my son jam out for a while and the amp didn't even get warm. I mean it was actually cool to the touch. Just a hint, after setting the amp I took some white out and made a white dot on the pot meter stems so it's easier to see if your amp is mounted under a seat. Speakers are in a 2 ohm load by the way. Hope this review helped anyone who is looking for a top notch product and a great price.

a lot of clean sound, quality and flexibility in a little nicely priced package
this amp DOESN'T have the "clinical" sound that some class D amps have and is VERY flexible. even though even the owners' manual doesn't talk about the amp being used in bi-amp mode, it works fine bridging the back channels to mono feeding a sub with the rear crossover set to lowpass and even adding some handy bass boost while the fronts power high passed mains with the options to run full range, or lowpassed too, bridged mono as well, with a matching set of controls for input level, adjustable high AND lowpass filters depending on the mode selected, and bass boost so the amp doesn't need an external crossover. by the way... the input jacks are EXTRA SOLID and grip RCA like a vise... so tight, in fact, that when the dollar store jacks i first used got bumped, the amp held on to the cable's center pins after pulling the cable and took pliers to yank out, so your (QUALITY!) cables aren't going anywhere! it's very heavy (read solid) for its size and was a perfect all in one solution for my bicycle trailer system i'll finally be adding a sub to soon.

Best bang for your buck!
This amp is a little small but packs a good punch or should I say bang? It should be call little banger instead of big bang. It does a good job even though for a little more money there are better options. If you're on a budget, then this is the amp for you. You won't be disappointed with the sound it puts out once adjusted correctly. It does more than enough for the price.

Now i tuned it to were i dont have to mess with it only with my epicenter and it works great. S*** i wish i knew this before now
So i bought this amp last week because I was having issues with my BB2500.1 going into protect mode but this one did the same thing. I kept troubleshooting I bought new 0Gauge memphis wire, Kinetic battery, and a beafier line out converter and after all that it still kept going into protect mode. At last i found out that the issue was the bass knob, in the instruction manual it says that it should not be used a volume and I did and it kept making it go into protect mode. Now i tuned it to were i dont have to mess with it only with my epicenter and it works great. S*** i wish i knew this before now i have an extra amp laying around smfh.... i have 2 kicker comps DVC 2ohm and a audio control epicenter in my 11 sonata. it does bang real hard, i need better subs.

Great Value For The Price
I love this little amplifier, very compact performs well, I have it on my ATV stereo box and it's currently powers 4 Sony marine speakers XSMP 1611 speakers. I love the amp and it works great and puts out plenty of power for what I need. The price is good I think at around $100.00. I would totally buy it again.
