47° North Amber 1000ml

American expat here who won't be getting back home to New England for a while. When there, we spent several years living in a rural town across the road from a lovely chap who set up his 'sugar shack' just inside his garage entrance every February/March. We learnt to love the golden and amber from the first taps, whereas he kept the later batches of the rich dark syrups for selling on his vegetable stand in summer. I used to just buy Clark's here, but in the supermarket, it was getting so expensive for a small bottle of the darker stuff. I am not a syrup snob, like some who splurge on Escuminac Extra Rare, so I muddled on with expensive Clark's. Then WOW, a Canadian expat here told me about 47North. Woo-hoo. I just got my 1 litre of amber. If I was in the US, I'd be paying about the same for a well-known local syrup in my home state. Even with the currency difference! I hope this is part of the Canada-UK TCA. YAY! We are so happy... just made some French Toast/Eggy Bread. Indulge if you are missing a good honest quality maple syrup brand that tastes amazing. A very nice maple syrup if you like it on the dark side.

Love it. I use it as a sugar replacement. As well as on pancakes obviously.

Brought this quite a while ago but it’s still going, tastes much better then the supermarket stuff I was originally buying. Pancakes and waffles taste really good with this. Packaging is great too

Can get cheaper syrup, but I like this one.

Ordered it for my master cleanse. The bottles are comfortable to use, even to take them with you to make a lemonade on the go. Taste is sweet as a syrup should be and the nutritional value of the “very dark” is the highest of all the maple syrups.

Geschmack und Farbe sind super. Nicht zu süß. Malzig/herber Geschmack bei der dunklen Version. Lecker. Einen Stern gibt es dennoch abgezogen. Da ist der Hersteller selbst Schuld. Die Verpackung ist nicht wie angegeben aus recyceltem Glas, sondern aus Plastik. Ich hatte mich extra aus dem Grund dazu entschieden. Schade.

For anyone who appreciates--no, needs--real maple syrup in their life, this is the genuine article. First of all, the flavor is what it's all about and this is definitely quality maple syrup. I can't say much in terms of price, because when it comes to buying an imported product like Canadian maple syrup, it is what it is. It's certainly much more expensive than I would pay for the same product if I were back home in the US, but on the other hand, compared to artificial products that I find on the supermarket shelves here in Europe, some of which are also quite expensive, it is not outrageously expensive. The container is a very strong plastic jug, which makes me feel certain that it won't be damaged in shipping. The product arrived quickly and was as expected. This particular one is a dark maple syrup with a very slight tartness to it, which I enjoy. I have not tried the lighter maple syrup of the same brand, but maybe I will try it in the future. As an American living in Southern Europe, it's not easy to get good pancakes (a staple of the American diet), so I regularly make my own, and this maple syrup is an essential ingredient in our family's cupboard. I recommend this brand to anyone in a similar situation.
