Back Scratcher, Back Scratcher, whether big or small, nothing feels better than getting that itch. I've had the bigger model for about a year, and let me tell you, they both work excellently. Maybe my back is sensitive, but others have always felt like they're ripping my back apart. This gem has actually been used on my bare skin with no pain, just a gentle glide over where the itch is. The fingers are sort of curved so they don't all touch the skin at once, but when pressure is used, all the fingers push into the skin with no pain. You can tell it's very well made. Most telescopic scratchers are flimsy; this one never bends, even fully extended. With the rubber handle, there's never a loss of grip. Where are you going to find a product that offers such value for the money you've spent? A+ for easy to reach every spot and definitely made well. If you notice the bigger one seems worn on the back, it's because I also use it to turn on my AC from a distance rather than get up, with the handle never bending or retracting itself.

I have two of these back scratchers myself and have bought several for family. This is a great back scratcher. I love how it's telescopic for easy storage. It's sturdy and gives the right amount of pressure for scratching. It's very durable as I've had my first one for over six years and it's still holding strong. A must have!

I have dry, dehydrated skin, and though I try to take care of it and keep hydrated, hot summer weather still makes my back itch. It itches too low for me to reach it by reaching over my shoulder, and it itches too high for me to reach it by reaching from the waist upward. Every year, I keep telling myself I'm going to get a good back scratcher, but every year, I fail to do so. Well, not this year. Because this back scratcher is telescopic, I can even carry it in my handbag. I love it. I take it with me almost everywhere, and I keep it within reach when I'm at home. There's almost nothing more irritating than being in a hotel in a foreign country and needing a back scratcher. It's not really something you can pick up the phone and order from room service, and even if you could, I wouldn't be comfortable doing it. This back scratcher seems very sturdy. It does a good job scratching, yet it's not sharp enough to cause harm to yourself, i.e., it won't cut into your skin, and I don't think anyone would want that. It's also nice that it's able to be washed, or at least wiped clean. I wipe mine with a cleansing pad every night. I think a few people who've seen me with this back scratcher, but have never seen me use it, wonder what in the world it is? I actually think one person thought it was some kind of strange implement meant for eating food. (I don't scratch my back in public, however.) This is a very nice back scratcher, and it's very affordable. If you're looking for one, I can highly recommend this one.

It's very sturdy and the telescoping handle has just the right amount of tension so that it will not slip out of position when I'm scratching my back. It's long enough for me to reach the edge of my pants when reaching in from the top with the handle fully extended, so I don't have any problems reaching any part of my back. The hard rubber on the handle has a good grip and I have no problem keeping the claws toward my back. I keep one of these in my bag and it's great to pull it out whenever I have a terrible back itch, which I always get in the middle of my back between my shoulder blades, the most difficult or impossible part to reach. It's not perfect, however. I read another review that mentioned the sharpness of the claws and apparently this is known as the the sharpest (or one of) the sharpest back scratchers on the market. I've never owned a bamboo or plastic one so I can't compare but the wooden ones look much duller than this one. For me, it works to calm the itch, but it's just not as sharp or satisfying as having actual fingernails scratching the itch. I think it's a combination of the sharpness and the size of the scratching surface (an adult's hand with five fingernails vs. this tiny claw can cover a lot more surface area.) Nonetheless, it does it's job well and it's convenient to have on hand.

I've had it for a while now and it's still holding up pretty well, for the most part. As some others have mentioned the thing doesn't lock into place when extended. That hasn't actually been a problem for me. It holds in well enough to get the job done. I've had 2 problems with it. First, it has a smell now. I don't know how to describe it. Kind of a metallic smell just on the actual scratcher part. It comes off on my hands too :(. It also has a green hue to it like cheap copper ring. Both of these can easily be wiped off with something like a lysol wipe but it's just weird that I have to do it. I guess it hasn't bothered me enough to buy a new one yet. The second issue I had was the top/hand fell off. I'm guessing it was glued on there. I ended up taking part of a plastic bag and folding it over the end of the pole, then I jammed the hand/scratcher back on using the bag as a fill material to make it a tight fit. It hasn't come off yet and it's been that way for a year now hahaha. Overall, for the price I have nothing to complain about I suppose. It's been good and it does the job.
