ER Series 2.5mm Balanced Cable, Black

My FiiO M11s sounds best driving balanced phones. This cable allows me to use my favorite Etymotic IEMs in balanced mode for a great optimized combination.

Turned my etymotic into balanced output. Very handy. Also sold by etymotic but long wait times.

I thought I give these cables a try. I bought it directly from Etymotic at full price thinking it was worth it. I plugged it into my Astell Kern AK120II's 2.5mm balanced input jack. There is major issue with this cable. For one, each independent wire to sleeves are not aligning properly so any slight movement will cause signal static and drop outs. So it would not be feasible to use with a portable device while you're moving around. Forget about attempting to use it at the gym. Second, the balanced output's improvement in separation as the signal travels on separate ground for each Left and Right channel is marginal at best. Totally not worth the money. Stick with the stock cable and save your money.

Does what it is supposed to do. But WAY over priced for what you get. I will say though, the IEM's are hands down one of my favorites. I own over 50 IEMs and these seem to spend a lot of time in my ears.

Ordered the balanced FiiO cable for my Etymotic ER4XR's after switching to a balanced cable on my HD580's and finding a noticeable improvement. My FiiO M11 DAP doubles it's output in balanced mode and it really drives both the Etys and Sennheiser's to produce better sound. Very happy with the investment

Very nicely done! Cord is too long… makes it more of pain now. It gets caught on everything.

The sound quality was noticeable when they worked. Erratic operation and cutting out on occasion. Had to return.

Attention, à savoir : J'ai commandé ce casque jack 2,5 mm Etymotic pour mon ER4SR, et j'ai acheté plusieurs adaptateurs audio jack 2,5 mm vers 4,4 mm ayant comme ampli-DAC, un ifi audio HIP DAC V3 et un ifi audio ZEN DAC V2. je croyais que le problème venait des adaptateurs made in china commandé sur Amazon mais j'ai eu le même problème avec l'adaptateur dédié vendu par Ifi Audio (en forme de "T") : le son à chaque fois était très resserré, comme monophonique et plus fort du côté de l'oreille droite ; le même rendu avec les 3 adaptateurs. Le problème vient donc du câble car celui-ci ne doit pas être conçu pour être utilisé avec ce type d'adaptateur. J'ai sollicité le support Etymotic qui ne sont pas compétents décidemment.. : "Nous ne vendons pas d'adaptateurs et je ne peux parler que de nos produits. Je vous prie de m'excuser pour la confusion et l(impossibilité de vous aider.) Lorsque j'ai acheté le câble à 66€, quelques jours plus tard, il a augmenté de 22 €.... Et bref vous n'aurait pas d'amélioration audible en passant d'un câble asymétrique à un câble symétrique hormis une augmentation du volume sonore. Donc retour de ce câble.

標準で付いてくるアンバランスケーブルがそのまま2.5mmになっている感じでいい感じです。音質についてはバランス接続のおかげで標準ケーブルより力強く鳴ってくれます。

A good upgrade. Lets the headphone amp output at full power. Also, seems more robust that the regular cable and less likely to get tangled.

Although these cables don’t fail as often as the cheaper etymotics earphones that the cable cannot be replaced on, these cables will still eventually fail if you use them while travelling like I do. Buy two and don’t worry about one failing and then having to wait for another one to come

The cable is an audible improvement over the standard 3.5mm one that comes with earphones - this was clear the moment I started using it. My player is a high resolution music player.
