TP-Link Litewave 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch | Desktop Ethernet Splitter | Unshielded Network Switch | Plug & Play | Fanless Quiet | Unmanaged (LS1005G)

I consider myself reasonably tech-savvy but anybody could hook this thing up. I never looked at the instructions. Unplugged my internet router, turned off the TV and computer (probably didn't even have to do that), plugged everything else I wanted wired into the switch (3 devices), and turned everything on. Perfection. Wireless unaffected. Even the infamously godawful, always-buffering LG Apps and Web OS appear to be functioning better than normal. 500 mbs sustained and sometimes faster speeds on the computer (I'm paying for 300). At this price this little switch is an outrageous deal. Another reviewer mentioned the lack of grippy "feet" on the very lightweight unit and that is somewhat of an issue. But at that price, and not having a premium piece of furniture underneath my stuff I had no problem sticking a couple of small pieces of two-sided tape on the bottom of the switch; problem solved for me.

It's plug and play, no networking knowledge required :)The construction is all plastic, it does feel pretty lightweight and it lacks any sort of rubber feet to prevent sliding. If you value the non slip feet and a higher quality shell I would skip this, but if you're on a tight budget and all you need is more ethernet ports, this is the cheapest gigabit switch on Amazon I think and it does what it should do!

I was absolutely shocked how tiny this little switch is. Its shell is made of plastic, and it is extremely light weight. Comes with a power brick, although it uses a barrel jack, which is okay. USB-C would have been nice, but at this price I am not going to complain. Works exactly as expected. Just plug in your Ethernet cables into it, and you are off to the races!

Very cheaply made. Speeds seem as advertised. Low power. If you need something great, find something else, but if you need something that's just good enough this is a great option. Worth the price.

What can I say it's a switch and it's works great for my application, I use it to connect my main PC to my home server and both of those to my wifi router! It does this job perfectly... I thought long and hard about getting this or it's metal cased counterpart what won me over was the slim simplistic design and the thought of having to travel with the device in a bag or what have you it's so light and small you can store it away almost anywhere if you need to do tp link is great.
