PERFECT for Cats! Raving Review! 10 Stars!
Update: The slightly larger size 4 capsules are even better! They are a hair larger than the size 5s but still tiny enough for a cat's mouth. Still using these capsules and love them!!! Attention all cat parents! These capsules are a lifesaver! My very feisty 5-year-old cat, Jumpy, was just diagnosed with heart disease (cardiomyopathy) & needs to take 1/4 tab each of Atenolol & Plavix (clopidogrel) every day. Having 7 cats, I'm a great piller! But forcing quartered pills down Jumpy's neck was a nightmare & a half. I was literally scratched, bleeding, & exhausted from trying to give these 2 little pills. When I would finally get him to take the pill, he would foam at the mouth, gag, & then throw it up. I looked into getting the meds compounded but it would cost me $120/month which was way out of the budget. I started mixing the Atenolol with water in an eye dropper, but you can't do that with the Plavix (per the manufacturer, I think because it is such a bitter-tasting pill & the water would make the taste worse). Jumpy doesn't like wet food or cat treats so I couldn't disguise the pills there. Desperate for another solution, I looked into these capsules. Believe me when I say that they are truly my saving grace. I ordered the size 5 & they are the perfect size for my very petite cat. I was worried that the capsule would be too big for a tiny cat mouth, but I promise you that the size 5 will work just fine. I put the 1/4 tab of Atenolol in the capsule first (tiny pill). Then I add the Plavix. The 1/4 tab of Plavix is just barely too big to fit, so I cut the 1/4 in half (1/8) & then put them in the capsule & close it. I make 1-2 weeks of the capsules at a time so that I don't have to do it each day. Armed with my large plastic eye dropper filled with water, I get Jumpy, put the capsule in his mouth, & then shoot some water down his throat to wash it down. The capsule can get a little sticky when wet (use dry hands!), so I want to make sure that it goes all the way down his throat & he doesn't choke. He can't taste the bitterness of the pill thanks to the capsule, so there is no foaming, gagging, or throwing up. These capsules make it so easy! I even tried a plain capsule myself to make sure would be okay for my cat. There was no taste & it dissolved pretty quickly. PLEASE do yourself a favor & get these if you have a cat like mine who doesn't like pills!

Great for Cat Medication
I use these gelatin capsules to put my cats' medications in. I cut the tablets using a pill cutter, and then put the slivers in the gel cap so the cats can eat it without tasting the medicine. I use a pile of both wet and dry treats on a silicone lick mat, to get the cat used to mixed textures. Then, they take their meds voluntarily. (I never mix their meds with food, because I don't want to turn them off their food.) These gel caps are a perfect size - nice and small - and they're a great value. I recommend them to my cat behavior clients all the time!

Teeny tiny but really useful for kitties
If you have a cat who won't take pills, these capsules are awesome. They are indeed tiny, but that's perfect for hiding in what we call "squeezies" or lickable treats. I like to add a coating to make them enteric. Sadly, the size 5s are always more expensive than other capsule sizes, but a size 4 is too big for my kitties (both about 9 lbs). I've been able to cut pills with a cat nail clipper and then load them into the capsule with tweezers. Another option is grinding (if the meds support that) and filling with a tiny funnel.

Gelatin Empty Capsules
The quality is very good, the size is like a tic tac maybe a little smaller, easy to separate worth the price

As described
These are nice capsules and make meds be easier for my Mom. These are small, brightly colored, easy to swallow. She has more than one pill that needs to be cut and they are so small, easy to lose or drop. These go right down the hatch! Since there are other colors, it makes keeping track easier. This size is quite small, and only the small bit of pill fits into it. This is small enough that you could probably pull a cat with it.

Good for Combining Multiple Pet Medications into One Easy-To-Swallow Pill
I bought these gel capsules for my cat who takes several medication’s every night. These are better priced than purchasing them directly from the veterinarian. They work great. I would definitely buy them again.

Great for pilling cats!
If you've ever tried to give a cat a pill, you know it's not easy, especially since their pills are generally either tiny or broken up from larger pills. I use these caps to contain my cats' pills, and they help the process so much! No longer do the kitties get pissed at me for sticking a bitter, crumbling thing in their mouth (which makes them hate the process even more). These caps prevent the pills from getting slobbery, breaking up in their mouth, and tasting bad. They give you the ability to try multiple times, if necessary, to get the pill down. It just really makes everything so much easier and so much less traumatic for all involved. Definitely recommend! 😺

Exactly as described, has made taking medication easier for my son due to the smaller size. Great product

I struggled to feed my kitten her flu med, saw a reddit post that recommended using this to put the med into the capsule. It worked, covered the capsule with treats and my kitten inhaled the treat along with the capsule.
