The IXL Ultimate 2nd Grade Math Workbook is fantastic for kids ages 7-8! It covers all the important topics like addition, subtraction, place value, geometry, and measuring — basically everything my child needed to practice this year. The exercises are clear and well-organized, making it easy for my kid to follow along and build confidence step by step. It’s challenging enough to keep them engaged but not so hard that they get frustrated. Perfect for both classroom support and homeschooling!

This book is helping my granddaughter build confidence in her math skills. The lessons are easy for her to understand. It has great graphics and keeps us moving along.

I’m a special education resource teacher, and I originally purchased one of these books to give my students extra support accessing their grade-level math curriculum. I was so impressed with the layout, clarity, and the way the concepts are broken down that I ended up buying one for every grade I teach! The activities align beautifully with what my students are working on in class and give them the scaffolding they need to feel successful. These books have quickly become a staple in my small-group instruction. Highly recommend for any educator looking to bridge gaps and build confidence!

I bought The 2nd Grade Math Workbook for extra practice at home, and overall it’s been very helpful. The layout is clear, the instructions are simple, and the practice sections are well organized. My child actually enjoys working through the pages, which is a big win compared to some other workbooks we’ve tried. The only drawback is that some of the tasks feel a bit too easy - almost like review from 1st grade. On the positive side, this makes it a confidence booster, but I do wish there were a few more advanced problems to stretch thinking. The mix of visuals, word problems, and practice drills keeps it from being boring. It’s also great for reinforcing skills that might otherwise slip during breaks from school. Overall, I’d say it’s a strong resource, just not as “ultimate” as the title suggests.

great math practice book for a 2nd grader ! love it

I’m homeschooling and my 6 year old daughter is very advanced in math and is already doing multiplication and division, but I want to make sure she’s absolutely solid in the 2nd grade addition/subtraction and money, etc before moving on to 3rd grade math even though she is doing some of that already. This is the most robust math book I’ve come across for the price and I highly recommend it for homeschooling parents. The format is fun and engaging, it has a combination of math puzzles, drills, word problems and more broken down into very easy lessons. We jump around to keep things fun and interesting for her, so I let her choose the topic she wants to cover in it for the day. I make it fun by having her beat the timer for the drill pages and she loves it. Highly recommend!

This book is great. We got the spiral bound one and love it. Our daughter isn’t super happy about it but she is getting better at math.
