Got 2 of these for my husband and they do all kinds of antics on his desk. The magnets are pretty strong. Happy with this purchase!

OOPS!
So, I got this TOTALLY by accident b/c I was looking this up on amazon and when I went to save this item in my cart for later review, the item purchased immediately. I immediately sent an email saying it was a mistake, but 2 hours later I received an email that said it was too late as the item had been shipped.... I don't think that's the case, but anyway that's more about the seller. It definitely is a strong magnet, but I'm not sure who ever thought this qualifies as an educational toy and I'd love to see what they would teach for a lesson plan.
