Smoke Trap 2.0 - Personal Air Filter (Sploof) - Smoke Filter with Replaceable Filter - 300+ Uses (Silver)

I've tried a few personal air filters over the years, and this one feels like someone finally paid attention to the little things. The rubber mouthpiece creates a proper airtight seal when you press into it. That matters... leaks are usually where these things fail. And for anyone thinking, “It’s just a little smoke, no one will notice”… stop lying to yourself. Smoke travels more than you think. For best results, pairing it with a device with an attached swing top lid that can be quickly extinguished helps maximize effectiveness. It’s also comfortable and durable, the body is solid and made of carbon fiber, so it doesn’t feel cheap. If it falls out of your pocket, rolls down a hill, bounces on a few rocks and hits a brick wall, you’re not going to be picking up plastic shards but you may want to wash it off first... I have noticed after a few weeks of regular use, it’s still easier to blow through than my Smoke Buddy was at the same point. Resistance hasn’t crept up much, which is impressive. It’s basically as easy as blowing through a straw, without feeling like you’re trying to pump up a truck tire with your mouth. Performance-wise, I tested it in a closed room, stepped out for a minute, and came back... no noticeable lingering odor. But like I mentioned, extinguish that lingering smoke immediately, or you defeat the purpose. It’s technically pocket-sized, but manage expectations: it’s about twice as thick as a pack of cigarettes. Portable, yes. Disappears in slim-fit pants? Not so much. The replaceable cartridge system is also practical and more cost-effective than replacing the entire unit. If discretion matters and you want something durable, comfortable, and lower resistance than many competing options, this is a strong option.

I tried both the Smoke Buddy Jr and the Smoke Eraser V3 before ordering the SmokeTrap, and SmokeTrap works the best out of the three. SmokeBuddy is more efficient at cleaning the smoke, but clogged up with heavy use of two people after a week or two. SmokeEraser leaked like crazy because the top plastic seal isn't secure, and only lasted a couple months. SmokeTrap did a slightly less efficient job of cleaning the smoke, but I didn't find it difficult to blow through at all until about 3-4 weeks in (again, with heavy 2 person use). In regards to the reviewer claiming 4 days, I can't imagine how that'd be physically possible unless you were coughing/spitting into it all the time or using it to filter dabs. As with any of these devices, the dryer you keep it the longer it lasts. Open it up, take it apart, and keep it in as dry an area as possible. If you're in a really humid area, this may not last as long. I got the replacement filters on sale for $8 in larger quantity, so I'll definitely be using SmokeTrap from now on. My only complaint is that even with it being silicone, there's still not quite a tight enough seal where the mouthpiece meets the unit, and smoke leaks out unless you tape it up, but it's still a much better seal than the SmokeEraser had. PS- the chamber at the end of the unit underneath the filter is just large enough to cut a couple folded pieces of dryer sheets in case you'd like to filter smoke a little more.

Like the title says it works great. I actually find it more comfortable with a tighter seal than the original model. BUT I believe the size isn't advertised properly. It definitely wouldn't fit in a back pocket. I bought it to fit in a smallish purse. It fit but I couldn't carry anything else including my phone.

I love this little thing. Very very effective. I tried to let Amazon know that the filters they show as a bundle purchase currently (4/23/23) are NOT the correct filters. You would need the 2.0 version replacement filters. Anyway, this is a perfect solution, I've used it every day and boy does it manage heavy smoke naturally. It has a very, very mild odor to it, but not anything like what you'd expect after blowing into it heavily. Now I'm just on the hunt for a single 2.0 replacement filter. (Also seller was quick to respond - thanks)

Smoke comes out the end of the filter every time and it's harder to blow through. The original, there was NO smoke until the filer got really used and it was very easy to blow through. I hope they won't discontinue it.

Works great at first, but definitely does not last 300 uses, seems to clog up a lot faster than the first version.

Love this little trap! The mouthpiece works better for me and is easier to seal. I'm 5'7" 145# woman. My lips are thin, no facial hair. I have read product information about certain ones being developed for mustache/ beards. It's also much easier to carry in my pocket and/ or purse. The round one is great at home. Great job Smoke Trap developers, this is definitely an improvement on a great product! I strongly recommend you buy this trap. It's lightweight too. It sits in the corner of my chair, it can't slide down inside so it's a great fit. I really like this trap! 2 weeks later... I have to amend my review because this only lasted 2 weeks. My original round Smoke Trap has lasted 3 months. I only use it when I'm with my husband, (vapes bother copd) so for this to last only 2 weeks is unacceptable. I love the portability, size and mouth piece. But I cannot replace it every 2 weeks. I'm disappointed. Why doesn't this one last longer? What's so different in there? The rectangle is smaller so I knew it wouldn't last as long but 2 weeks with limited use?
