Pinto Beans - 25 lb.

I got a 25-lb bag almost 2 years ago and have been using it gradually since then. I kept the bag in back of the fridge, taking out about 5 lb at a time for kitchen-shelf storage & cooking. Always good. I use in chili, soups, and Boston-style baked beans.

The beans are fine, but buyer beware the shipping prices are high. Our shipping price was $5 higher than the price of the beans more than doubling the price for the product. :(

I'm a prime member and let my guard down looking at shipping. It cost more to ship than item cost. I paid 79.00 for 35.00 beans!! Can't return!! Never Again!! Beans look great. The shipping is the problem!

In addition to being yummy beans, the package was 9 oz. heavy! An extra meal on the house. Love it.

Buying Beans shouldn't be 'Rocket Science'...it's a Bean, or maybe an 'Old Bean' who can tell the difference?Well I can, I'm a professional Chef and I am going to try to help you not to make the same mistake that I made. They don't throw away beans because they don't have an 'Expiration Date' on them, and they really should. Old beans become so stale that it will take a good 6 hours to soften up, only to be completely disappointed at the end because they have lost their natural flavor, and utterly tasteless, then you are stuck with the other 24lb.'s because you can't return food on Amazon. I could gas on on but this really isn't 'Rocket Science' …it’s simple ..."Don't buy these Beans."
