Do this easy painting modification! 5 stars after mod.
Pros: Build quality and connectivity is great. Easily and quickly connects to my android phone. Responsive tactile buttons. Does make a clicking sound with each press (not silent press if that is what you need, but click not that loud or annoying). Cons: Bracket totally useless as many others have commented. Difficult to snap device onto the mounting bracket. Even when it is snapped in, a slight tug will pop it out. No way I would recommend anyone using it as is on their motorcycles or bikes without retro fitting mount with velcro tape or some sort of strong magnetic mount.... The other con is what others have said too. Very difficult to read as dial is all black. A quick glance and you can't tell what button is what. Would have been great if buttons had colored indication icons and/or raised button ridges. Conclusion: With all the cons, I would still recommend it if you're looking for a good remote. I can live with the short comings as I don't need it to be mounted. I have it on the included string as I'm using it as a remote keychain on my bag or jacket. Will work great on active activities like snow blowing/mowing without needing to take out my phone. To get around the visibility con, just brush some acrylic paint into the button grooves. Just enough to cover the recessed button icons, then take a damp paper towel and gently wipe the excess off. As long as towel is moist, it should take off the surface excess and leave the paint in the recessed icon indicators. If you mess up, just use a wet towel and rub it off and start again. Take your time, it's easy. I used a different color for the bluetooth button. Even after it has dried, if you ever wanted to redo with another color, just wet a cloth and rub into the grooves to get paint off and redo. Enclose is my finished product. Was going to record video of me doing the painting, but got lazy. :) Good luck.

Functionality is life-changing. Battery life makes it unusable.
I ski every Saturday and Sunday and when I found this device I thought I had found a huge improvement to my life. It allows me to change songs without removing my hands from my gloves and turn the volume up and down while skiing. I keep it in my glove with my hand, so it's plenty warm. The first time I took it out, it lasted all day, about 6 hours. I took it home and charged it. The next day, it lasted 4 hours. Not great, but maybe I didn't plug it in all the way. Then is lasted 2 then 1, now it won't turn on. The light only comes on when I plug it into the charger. I am very careful with my rechargeable batteries, never charged it using a car charger, also used a trickle charger, but it won't turn on and I am past the Amazon return window. I emailed the company directly a few days ago, but never got a response. I would love for this to work because it was so nice on the days that it did. Update (5/19/2024): after leaving the previous review the company contacted me and sent me a replacement. It does appear to be a used or “second” replacement, but it works great and I am very happy with it. Despite my issue I still recommend it as the best way to control your music while skiing/snowboarding/biking/riding/etc. I recommend this to everyone I know that does any sort of outdoor activity. Even though I have an Apple Watch, this is a far superior method of controlling music because of the physical buttons.

Does the job if you have an older vehicle.
Works as expected. Clips to the steering wheel. Connects to the phone (not your car stereo) easily. Holds a charge well. The downers for me would be that it seems to get in the way of your hands when making sharper turns. The receptacle for charging is on the back so it has to be pulled off the steering wheel to charge. I would happily pay more for backlighting. The control icons are stamped into the black rubber so it is impossible to see if you use readers or at night. Once you get use to the minimal amount of control functions it becomes muscle memory. Seems to be well made.

Great little clicker for Spotify
Make sure to change settings of the apps you are using the device with in your phone.(android). In the apps you want to use, in settings, change the battery setting to unrestricted and allow the app to run in the background. I use Spotify paired with sonos. Before thos settings were changed the bluetooth device, the phone, Sonos and Spotify would lose communication with eachother when the phones screen times out. After the settings change, it works perfectly. If I could change one thing about the Bluetooth device it would be for the buttons to be backlit in some way.

Bad location for charging
Paired quickly, but haven't tested out any of the features yet due to disappointment in the way it mounts/where the charge port is located. Once you've clipped the mount clip to the back of device it is hard to get back off, if the charging port was on the side of the device instead of the back id be 100% satisfied. And the plug for the charge port isn't connected, so if you lose it or it would happen to fall out its definitely not waterproof anymore. UPDATE: So after I posted my review, I went back and came across how to remove the device from the clip by twisting it. So I give an extra star for not looking thoroughly, still a poor setup I feel like. You can easily place the clip the wrong way and it blocks the port. I may modify with an angled charger end and glue very lighly to seal it so water cant get in the port while im riding, if my handle bars will allow it while being mounted. If it does work after a few tests, I will give another update showing my modifications/how I made it work. If it causes issues like what everyone else says with connection/volume issues then ill also post that. For now that is all.

It uses an old micro-USB port for charging, which is a pain. And the markings on the remote control are poorly visible. But the remote control itself appears to work well. However, be warned that it works with volume in all instances but the pause, stop, play functions only work with media & music players, not with content being streamed from within a web page (such as youtube).

Works well enough. I recommend getting some white paint for the buttons. If you try and remove the clip once, it will never go back on correctly. I have to tape it together now.

The handlebar strap didn’t came in my package, otherwise this would be a 5 star product
