Mueller Mandoline Slicer, Premium Quality V-Pro Five Blade Adjustable Vegetable Slicer, Cutter, Shredder, Veggie Slicers for Fruits and Vegetables Gray

This is a great little slicer if you have a lot to slice or julienne. If you only have a small amount to slice, then it may not be worth setting it up and then having to clean it. There is a fine line between it being worth it and not. When you do have a lot to slice, this is quick and effective as long as the slices are the size you are going for, as it is not adjustable. In larger amounts, this would work great in conjunction with the Müller vegetable dicker. You can slice with this and then dice with the diced and that would give you the cubes that neither gives alone. I am Austrian and love things from Austria. Both items are great in the right circumstances. Well made and sturdy.

I bought this item because it would make it easier to slice fruits and vegetables due to my arthritis. It does a fantastic job of slicing and grating. Great storage for the blades and it locks them in so they don’t fall out everywhere. The only problem I have is I wish there was a blade cover for a couple of the blades. Other than that, it’s a great price and doesn’t take up much room at all.

I will say the ease of use was amazing. The different slicers are all in the top piece which they slide out easily and make it so that I don’t have more stuff piling up in a drawer or getting lost because they fit right inside but have to be careful when separating the top piece from the bottom as the cutters are open on the bottom and can easily cut if you aren’t careful.Tried this to slice potatoes thinly and while the cut of the potato was great it was really difficult to get the potato to slide back and forth with the protection cover on it.On the other hand, it works perfect for slicing cucumbers. I’d say having some sort of adjustment to make the protector cover hood what you are using besides the top piece would be much easier to use. I had an issue with once what I was slicing got smaller it kept falling over. Could just be personal error but it happened a lot.

OK on firm but weak veggies -- potatoes, for instance. Poor to awful on more challenging items. Trying to julienne ham failed badly. Too much clearance between slider and blades prevents what should be the last cut. Julienne blades hang up on backstroke. No adjustment for thickness of slice. Lots of stuff to clean.

This slicer is pretty easy to use and definitely easy to clean.My only concern is snagging my fingers when I remove the little grater/julienne/slicer components.I plan to rectify that issue by wearing a cut resistant glove, but if the components had slightly larger edges I wouldn't be as nervous.Over all it does a great job, especially the slicer. I can't cut uniform thin slices at all.The food pusher - for short pieces of food works really well too.

We have only had our new Mueller Mandoline Slicer for a few days now but have found MANY occasions that it has come in so handy!! Slicing onions for burgers, Slicing tomatoes for salads. Squash for frying. I could never before cut into equal slices but now? NO WORRIES! I Love This Slicer. It works like a charm and clean-up is relatively easy, too!

So I wanted a mandolin slicer to make food prep a little faster and neater. This thing is garbage though. Almost cut my thumb trying to slice a potato. The ridges at the side of the blade cause things to get hung up. If you’re lucky like I was you’ll pull your hand back before you cut yourself. I was using the little safety thing with the little spikes and it was slicing the potato better than the blade because the potato wouldn’t go past the ridge. I wanted to love this product but I’m less likely to cut my finger off using a cutting board and knife. I’ll be returning.

Needed something to produce even potato slices for my dehydrator and a fast time so I could get them all in pretty close together. It was super easy. It took me a bit of time to determine when to start using the pusher vs my fingers. if its too big the pusher is awkward. if the bit is too small the finger or knuckles will get sliced! Other than that it was perfect.
