Luxafor Switch - Wireless LED Status Light – Availability Indicator with a Remote Controller

This device has been a lifesaver in our office. I have two entrances to my office, one in the central area and an external door. This device was able to kill two birds with one stone. With the indicator on the front door and the cube sitting on my desk, I can effectively have both doors covered so I don't have staff barging in during the middle of a meeting. It also lets our team know if I can be disturbed or request privacy. With the 4 color choices you can rotate through, we quickly came up with each color code means and helped set clear boundaries within the office. It was so compelling that we ended up getting another unit for our other shared office.

The product setup was simple, and worked great ( for 24 hours). It met my needs in my home office to keep the interruptions to a minimum. Was well on my way to ordering the units for my whole team, then... The product failed when the remote portion was not operating. Verified that the unit was charged via the onboard LEDS. I got a return and received the replacement. The replacement was not what I had ordered originally, so I'm not that pleased. If I had gotten the proper replacement unit, the stars would have been a 5.

The idea behind this product is simple, but awesome. No need to download any software on your PC or an App for your phone. You just turn on the Cube and flip it by hand. Quick and easy. For the price, I really wanted this product to work as designed. I hope that Greynut LTD. puts more effort into quality testing of their products or for some other company to improve upon their design and bring it to market as soon as possible. ~~~ Range ~~~ The company, Greynut LTD, states that a DOT (Indicator) and Cube (Remote) will work up to 80 feet (25m) apart. I found that this is not true when my two units are separated by different floors. My home is a typical two-story home made up of mostly wood and drywall, with nine-foot ceilings. With a Cube on the second floor and a DOT in my basement, the two units will not work. The units only work as long as there is only one floor between them. I had to get creative with the placement of the DOT on the first floor and the use of a mirror to see it from the basement. ~~~ Charging ~~~ My DOT battery pack charges without any issues. My Cube will not recharge the battery when plugged in as designed. Thinking the Chinese made battery was bad, I purchased a new battery from another Chinese manufacture. It arrived somewhat charged with three lights displayed from my Cube. After a night plugged into my Cube, to recharge, the new battery was still showing three lights worth of a charge. I was able to recharge my new battery with a USB device designed for charging the types of batteries used by my Cube. Unfortunately, I couldn't test the original battery, as I had already disposed of it. Going forward, I must recharge my Cube in a manner not designed by Greynut LTD.

You would think something so simple would be easy to use and just work, this switch doesn't! You never know what state the systems is in at any time and just when you think you have it working, it stops working. Total waste of money for a VERY expensive LED switch.

Instructions are outdated and inaccurate in guidance to determine what version you’ve received. Basically just ensure you FULLY charge the remote battery pack and switch prior to trying to connect and then when you go to set up it is a breeze to connect. Product works wonderfully after that! Love this little device and the magnetic mount for my doorframe outside the office is great for charging it each night after work.

Overall I love this thing, it is a great way to indicate that I am busy, however charging is the worst, I have charged it over a weekend to have it still be completly dead on Monday. The charging indacator starts to show that it is charging then after about 1-2 min will competly stop and I have to fiddle with it. Or it will not be charged at all but the indacator shows that it is fully charged and will continue to not work. I have given two stars as I LIKE the product but the inability to use it in any meaningful way is a pain and I find that a note on the outside of a door is more consistant

Honestly, I loved the product, I thought it worked well as long as I charged the product every couple of days. Finally yesterday, it completely quit working. Unfortunately it is past the point where I can return the product to amazon. I will try getting a replacement from the manufacturer.

The battery only lasts maybe 3 days if you are lucky. There's also a design flaw in that the charging port is covered by the indicator light, so you can't just have it plugged in to charge. It works, but not as user friendly. Support is non-existent, never received any responses to my emails. Instructions omit a lot of information and unlike their other products, there is no software for metrics / tracking / programming.

O produto funciona, mas tem péssima qualidade. A luz da coluna fica constantemente a piscar de tempos em tempos. O plástico é de baixa qualidade e parte-se com facilidade. Muito muito caro para a qualidade que apresenta. Não recomendo.

Wenn man sich die Mühe macht, das Gerät erst einmal ausgiebig zu laden und sich die Gebrauchsanweisung GENAU durchliest um es zu bedienen bekommt man eine wunderbare Erfindung zu sehen. Super schnell, super easy... hat mein Büro im Haus ganz neu organisiert. Jeder Kollege und jedes Familienmitglied sieht schon von weitem, wenn ich "on Air" bin. Ich möchte es nicht mehr missen...

Like many people, since 2020/2021 I have been working from home. I bought this because it was the easiest way to let my family know if I was in a meeting and as such not come into the room I was working in. It can show four colours: red, yellow, green and blue. I use red to signify I’m on a video call, yellow for a voice only call and green is the “all clear”. It’s been a handy thing to have around, and my wife knows if it’s safe to enter without the risk of her being caught on camera. I’m giving it 4 stars due to the price. It’s quite a simple thing really. A small box that you keep in close proximity and rotate onto each of the four sides to alternate the colour and the remote part which is as far as I can tell not much more than a single AA battery with a USB type A port on it that a Bluetooth dongle plugs into and mirrors the colour of the other device. Other reviews have mentioned issues with connectivity, I can’t say I have had any personally. I can get 3-4 days use from a single charge too so it’s not too inconvenient to me to recharge.

Der letzte Dreck, leider kann man es nicht anders sagen. Nach einiger Zeit geht das Teil immer kaputt, und das schon mehrfach... unglaublich. Aktuell geht es nach dem Neustart fast 2 Minuten, dann ist es aus... Furchtbare Qualität... auf keinen Fall kaufen!

UPDATE 03.11.2023: Amazon hat mir weitergeholfen. Ich habe es retourniert und werde es erneut bestellen. Es war vermutlich ein Montagsprodukt. Zu Beginn hat es ja super funktioniert und es ist eine große Kommunikationshilfe. 01.11.2023: Ich habe den Artikel in Mitte Juli erworben und seit Mitte September funktioniert es nicht mehr. Der längliche, mit Magnet anklipsbare Körper, der die Batterie behaust, kann nicht mehr aufgeladen werden. Die Verbindung zum Sender kann auch nicht mehr aufgebaut werden. Als Verbraucher habe ich das Recht, von der gesetzlichen, zweijährigen Gewährleistung Gebrauch zu machen. Ich habe den Verkäufer für einen Umtausch kontaktiert, aber bislang keine Rückmeldung erhalten.
