Great product with some tips
I got the original CTA screen protector which was horrendous, but at least the cloth was semi nice that it came with. Next I tried a Hori, but I believe I got a bad one due to shipping cause it just would not stick right. Anyways the Hori has its own problems as since it requires more surface area you will have to be more diligent about dust and how fast your work which is more of a pain then you actually need. Now I got the Sony one and it went on beautifully! Pretty much goes on without any airbubbles or any problem. The only air bubbles you will see will be due to dirt, dust, and oil. Here are some tips to help. 1. Wear gloves! So you don't constantly put oil and dirt on the screen. You'd be suprised how much oil leaks out of your thumb at times. 2. Clean the majority of the dirty/grim/dust from your PSP Vita with a soft chamois cloth to prevent any scratching as you clean the surface. Breathe onto the screen to get a "bit" of moisture to help take off the oil. Eventually you will need something else to remove the last bit of dust as your chamois cloth by now will be putting on just as much dust as it takes off. The next step discuses how to remove all the reaming crap off the screen. 3. use scotch tape to pick up any excess oil and dust you might have missed with the cloth. It does a great job and won't scratch your Vita. Don't worry the tape won't stick as long as you keep one finger attached to an end and don't allow it to completely stick to the Vita screen. If you are scared that the whole tape might stick forcing you to remove it all you need to do is wrap a piece of tape around your glove finger(s) like a ring to ensure it doesn't do that but if you're careful and use one hand to hold it this shouldn't be a problem. The tape will not scratch/damage the touch screen! I have done this before with mine so don't worry about that and you can cover a lot of surface area quickly by doing this and best of all crap stuck to the tape won't be transferred back to the Vita! 4. Put your Vita away in the plastic bag it came with till you are ready to apply the protector. 5. Read the directions! Derp...Line up the protector so that it fits nicely on the screen then quickly remove the bottom film while holding onto the top film (the part covering the buttons) and allow the middle film (now exposed due to the removal bottom) to self adhere. Remove the top part and you're done. 6. If you see any bubbles they are most likely from dust so to remove those simply use the tip of your thumb (in the glove) at corner of the protector closest to the bubble and gently push on the corner to partially reopen the protector and use tape to remove the dust particulate from that part, and you may have to use your glove to rub it off as dust really loves to stick to the protector. Quickly allow it to self adhere so that dust won't float back onto the screen. Be sure to work quickly but don't make sudden movements as this will cause dust to float in the air. Your biggest enemy with ANY screen protector is DUST. Eliminate that and you will have an easy time putting this on. I had to repeat my own step 6 quite a bit as I had played with my vita a lot and there was quite a bit of dust on it that I couldn't see. That's why I recommend going over with tape. Also try to work with the vita screen facing you as you do this so any falling dust falls on the edges of the Vita instead of the face of the screen where you are working. This of course is easier as a two man job doing it this way. As for the Hori protecting the whole face, well I'm just going to get a silicone protector so I can protect the "whole" of my PSP and that should cover the face too. Plus as stated before, more surface area means a higher chance for dust, particulate, and dirt to stick and therefore more work due to more air bubbles. Not too mention the Hori is not easy to take on and off with its odd shape unlike the simple square one form Sony, and you will take of the screen this at least once to fix a bubble. I guarantee it. Also from extended play the oil from your hand will most likely seep under the Hori protector as it covers the button area and will probably due to heavy gaming be rubbed off, so I'm glad I made this choice. All in all a great product.

Shocked me with how easily it went on (twice)
Okay so before I go on, I want to establish something. I am THE worst in the world at applying screen protectors to handheld game devices, whether it be the DS, DS Lite, 3DSXL, PSP or PS VITA, I ALWAYS ALWWAAAYYYS screw it up. What happens when I buy them, is I peel them off, try desperately to align them with the screen, stick them on wrong with air bubbles underneath, then frantically try to take them off and re-apply them (or try to smash the air bubbles out from underneath) at which point the protector is ruined and I just give up and rip it off, throwing it in the trash and immediately regretting my purchase. Not so with this product. This is the first screen protector I have ever used where I have been not only successful in applying it, but also happy with the way it looks on the screen. After spending about 3 minutes trying to get the Vita's screen clean, I took the protector out of the packaging (which comes attached to a stencil of sorts that fits over the face of the system, you then peel away the backing from underneath to make the protector stick) and tried applying it the first time. It was out of aligntment. And air bubbles. Oh no. I worriedly took it off, fearing there would be too much adhesive and the removal would hurt the screen. It peeled away easily and didn't leave a residue of any kind. Not only that, it actually had a thickness to it, it wasn't like all those cheap tissue-thin protectors that had cursed me before. So not only did it peel away easily, but much to my surprise, after getting it aligned with the screen correctly, it actually stuck just fine with a second application. There were still air bubbles, but they were small and I was able to eliminate 98% of them with a credit card. I'm very pleased with this product. With past protectors I've used, they've caused the screen to look speckely or miscolored. Not with this one, it's crystal clear. You absolutely cannot tell it's there when the screen is on. Not only that, but I am ridiculously anal about NO fingerprints or scratches of any kind on any of my screens, and this so far has served me well. I no longer fear touching the Vita's screen with my finger, as the protector seems to be resistant to fingerprints. Even if it wasn't I wouldn't care that much, it's made to take the hits for the screen anyhow. All in all quality product. Don't buy any other.

These are OK, was expecting a bit more
I kind of had high expectations for a product that carried Sony's PS Vita branding but these screen protectors come off as cheap knockoffs. They fit fine except the first one I applied would never seal around the edges. It eventually came up after just one day of having my Vita in a carrying case. I had to already use the second one and again, there is a section of the edges which do to seal with the device. The texture is alright but like I said, they kind of feel like knockoffs. I had similar experiences with cheap protectors (from a country that will not be named) on my Droid X as they too always had some type of bubble around one part of the edge. I am almost tempted to pickup the Horri screen protector to see if it does a better job. All-in-all, I expected a little more when paying $5 per protector. Yes, they do the job and are really easy to apply but I haven't been able to make them completely stick and the texture is a little off to me.

This protector installed without any issues, the screen is still 100% responsive and works normally. I feel like this is a must have if you own a PS Vita. The reason I bought this is because I'm constantly traveling and just toss my Vita in my bag for remote play, so I didn't want to worry about the screen getting damaged.

I figured the film would be fairly standard affair, however i'm proven wrong. This is a legitimate Sony product and it shows. The informative "install" and product quality are outstanding. The film is much harder and with a smooth finish, unlike other films that are very flimsy and have a rubberised feel. Sony uses a smart 3 piece film process. Whereas the bottom sheet is pulled off and the top sheet has cutouts for the right analogue stick and face buttons. This way you are ensured to have a straight fit without much reapplication. I've never been the best at applying protective film, examples are my iphone and psp... I always end up getting a couple bubbles underneath. This happened with the Vita Protective Film. Try as I might, I do not live in a vacuum and there always seems to be a spec of dust or cat hair that gets in between. Luckily I cannot see the bubbles when the screen is turned on. Anyway, great product... oh btw! Theres TWO protective films in the package, so if you happen to screw up the first one theirs at least a backup to try.

I bought this film primarily because my Vita 1000 unit has light scuffs on the screen, which makes some pixels look off. I read on some sites, that the putting on a protective film will help hide the scuffs when the unit's on, and this is indeed the case. The package comes with two films, so you can use the first for practice - I needed both in order to get a decent application. The film does provide a guide, but it isn't really all that great. Make sure to firmly hold down the right side of the film (before the slit), before peeling it off. Otherwise, it will not be straight. The film is easy to clean, and fingerprints do not seem to smudge easily onto it. I am giving this product a 4 stars review because it is kind of expensive, as most of Sony's products needlessly are. Each film is a shocking 10$ in price.

Works exactly as described and is easy to apply. Got it very cheap which was a surprise considering it is an officially licensed product.
