Q: Will this fit a 2019 cx-9 gt?

No. The Grand Touring has no option for a cargo cover because there is no way to attach it on the inside. It is a design flaw because the motors that open and close the hatch prevent it. I bought this one and had to return it. I bought one straight from the Mazda dealership that was supposed to fit only to find out that it didn't and there were no options. I have a 2015 CX-9 GT.

Q: Could someone measure the metal square bar (LxW)? Please.

The bar is 53 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide. One end of the bar retracts a little to snap into the bracket on the sidewall of the car.

As I understand it fits all modifications of CX-9 2nd generation. It fits my 2019 CX9 perfectly. Looks like in 2021 Mazda did niot make changes in trunk
