Exactly as expected

Birthday gift for my grandson.

Version being sold is the UK version (Queen's English) NOT the US version. This version will NOT work on US Leapstart systems unless you manually load the UK specific companion audio. This does not appear in the leapstart connect app, and if you try to load the audio using leapstart connect it will not recognize the book. If you have the book installed in the leapstart and have it connected to the leapstart connect app, it will install the UK audio, but not show the book as being installed. However, if you do that it will then have the audio with the UK accents instead of US. We have tried choosing 3 different sellers to get the right version and each time the UK version has been sent. The listings do not mention this being a UK version.

This one book continually tells me "ask your parent to connect your leapstart to the computer to download the companion audio for this book" after I try everything. Very dissatisfied.

This is my 4th time trying to get this book to work with my daughter's leap start and it still won't work. I've purchased the Preachool level 1 and the learn to read sets and they work fine. I bought the read and write book separately because I knew it would help my child alot but it NEVER worked. I've contacted the seller and the leapstart customer service department who instructed me to contact the seller. There has been no resolve and I am very unhappy. After every reset, this one book tells me "ask your parent to connect your leapstart to the computer to download the companion audio for this book". I don't like it.

I ordered about a dozen leap start 3D books (box sets and some more like read & write) for our son for Easter, all of which downloaded the companion audio through Connect just fine, but this one will not. I’ve removed it from the device in Connect, reinstalled several times, no luck. So bummed bc this is the one I was most excited for my son to start using. Idk if it’s just the book that their software isn’t recognizing or what. I guess I’ll send it back and try a different one…? Idk.

This book does not connect to the leap start 3D. Very disappointed.

This product is not easy to download the accompanying updates, and there is NO answer when you write. They don’t seem to have a customer service office in spite of this being a product that requires about 150€ investment between the base and the accessories. There are applications that are probably a lot better. I am disappointed in proportion to my investment. And while they don’t respond my grandchildren are growing beyond the age to use it.

We have just moved up to stage 2 and bought this book to try and help with letter recognition before school, it’s a lovely book and my kids are enjoying playing through it. They practice finding words by sight, how to write the letters, and it has lots of fun and interesting games.

Boys love their books for their leapfrog read and write this was only one of the many we have. Recommend
