Surprisingly good
This is the first Maglite led flashlight I’ve used. Prior to this I had been converting my 90s era 3-4 Dcells with Malkoff drop ins, and those were really well made, really bright drop ins, but he’s stopped making them and my old Maglites were gradually dying out from battery damage, switch failure etc. So I took a chance on this new Maglite and it is very bright. It’s lighter gauge than the old ones and a little smaller, but generally a great light. Only downside I see is its cost. Might not be a bargain, I’m not sure what other cheaper lights are out there that would perform as well.

Improved light.
Powerful flashlight and much improved over the original I used as a firefighter many years ago. More economical than upgrading my old light bought in the 1980's.

A good, tough flashlight
A useful, bright and tough flashlight that I keep in my car in case something goes wrong. I recommend that everyone have at least one MAGLIGHT in their car and home. The metal body makes them very durable, but not light. It also means they will work when you need them to. They are large and fairly heavy when using the D-cell batteries, but my wife uses the C-cell model instead. Really the only choice for the money.

It’s bright
Ordered this to shine across our 6 acre field at night (fox issue) and it works amazingly as you’d expect from a maglight. It’s bright and switching between the 4 modes is simple.

Quality I Can Depend on When Needed
Bright with an easy, quick, two click high/low button system. MAGLITE quality I can depend on. I have an old, beat up, 3 D cell, incandescent bulb MAGLITE that still works. Had to replace the bulb a few times...but hey, no complaints here. This LED flashlight is brighter, but I still like the old one too.
