This LED light replaced a standard bulb navigation light. The original light would show white light if you looked at it head on where the green and red lens met. This LED light has a small black separation between the green area and the red area and shows only red and green. It is also much brighter and does not get hot. I would highly recommend this light. Installation is very simple too.

I initially bought a much cheaper unit from an "XXX Super Center" store but it seemed water could easily get into the unit. Consequently, I ordered this unit which is much better since the electrical component is a single sealed unit. As with all installs like this, it's a pain to fish the wires since they are probably located slightly differently from your old unit! Mine certainly were!

Very bright however the chrome plastic covering does not secure very well. Had to glue it together

I should have paid better attention to the dimensions of this product. I was surprised at how small it was. Other than that it works as it should.

Description sounds like this is chrome AND plastic. It is all plastic, with a chrome colored plastic outer cover. Bought this because I thought it was metal. There are cheaper, and probably better, plastic options available. Also, the screws are cheap with heads that strip out with the slightest resistance.

Disliked chrome cover it pops off with little effort
