Great helmet
Very nice helmet. Fits well, though I up-sized slightly "off chart" after trying one on locally. Interior padding is very comfortable. The photochromatic shield is amazing. It really does work wonderfully reacting to lighting conditions, and never fogs (to clarify, I got the Qualifier DLX Mip, though the listing currently shows Gloss Black as the standard Qualifier). I questioned the worth of the breath deflector, but after removing it to try riding without it I've been convinced. It really does work. All in all, a very nice helmet at a very reasonable price. Worth the price difference for the DLX vs standard Qualifier just for the light sensitive shield, but it also includes Mips safety, breath deflector, and chin dam.

High quality, inexpensive, but make sure it fits YOUR head shape…
Fits MY head perfectly. I now own 3 of these. Very comfortable, and I find them quiet. Set up internally is ready to accept coms easily. Priced right. Bell quality. Thankfully, never tested…but has proper certifications…recommend!

No com-port
Helmet is advertised with com-port as shown in video on product listing. However this helmet DOES NOT have a com-port. Other than that it’s a great helmet, not sure about the photo chromatic lense. That doesn’t seem to work, it’s a great clear lense though. Update: the photochromatic lense DOES WORK!! It’s super sweet!! It adjusted so calmly that I didn’t even notice it untill I looked at myself in the mirror and it was blacked out!! Awesome feature!!

The truth!
I bought this for the Mips and the transition shield. I really feel much safer just knowing the Mips technology is in the helmet. I also LOVE the transition shield. Here are my thoughts a month later: Mips - I really do feel safer with the Mips technology. I hope I never need it but it is reassuring just knowing it's there Transition Shield - Best shield I've ever had or seen. I have really sensitive eyes and in the past have either worn sunglasses inside a clear shield or purchased smoke shields to block out the sun. Sunglasses can get uncomfortable and just add another layer to look through. Smoke shields work well until you get caught in the rain or out a little later than usual and can't see well out of them. This shield is clear when the sun isn't really bad and tinted when it is bright out. I wasn't sure if it would be dark enough, did I mention I have sensitive eyes? It works like a charm. When you're wearing it it seems like it's not working but I never squint and I see very clearly regardless of light condition. Thumbs up. Noise - I almost deducted a star because everyone is correct, it can be a little noisy at higher speeds. I even purchased the bluetooth intercom system made for the helmet thinking it would block some of the noise but it doesn't. The noise definitely comes from that area, as others have stated. However, I had an Arai helmet previously and it had lots of air circulation in it and was just as noisy. The noise is not overwhelming, no need for earplugs or anything else. It's just wind noise and I realize it's keeping me cooled. It's like any other helmet that offers good circulation if that helps. It is a good balance of both noise and breath-ability so I left the last star on. Size - Buy a size up for sure. I was really worried about buying the wrong size. I read all the comments and there were enough people saying buy a size up so I did. Really glad I did. Weight - After a prior neck surgery this was a big concern for me. I was looking at all the weights before buying. I knew ahead of time it wasn't as light as my Arai but that was an $800 helmet. I researched this quite a bit and in this price range it was one of the lightest I could find that still offered a great deal of safety and circulation. I will note that I purchased an HJC for riders and the HJC is a little lighter for what it's worth. However, it doesn't feel heavy and I don't even notice the weight when riding. Visibility - Nice big viewing area and as noted, crystal clear. It also has not fogged up yet even when riding when hot and muggy out. A+

Coming from a Shoei
My old Shoei helmet served me well but after years of use it was time for something new but didn't have the budget for a premium helmet. This Bell DLX helmet seemed to be the best bamg for the buck so I decided to try it. While I will say it isn't the same quality as what I'm used to the price reflects it. What I will say is this is a great helmet for the price. The the protint visor and brow vents are what sold me on it as well as a included chin curtain. It's neither super loud or super quiet. In terms of comfort. It is a SOB to get on and off when it's new but after a few rides it will start to slip on and off much easier and it's pretty comfortable once it's on. I'm tempted to gibe it 4 stars because of it's cheap feel and construction but I remember the price. I will give it 5 stars because of the features it offers for the price it's a great helmet especially if you can find one at or below $200. Great airflow, Mips and fully removable liner. It's great.

Read the helmet description better than I did
Very nice helmet. They could’ve done a better job describing the chin strap. This helmet does not have the quick disconnect type strap. It’s the sinch style that I’m not a huge fan of.

A lot of Value for the Price.
The Bell Qualifier DLX MIPS is true to size and fits as expected. Snug but comfortable with great venting for warmer temperatures and the Pro-Tint Shield is a great feature. Nice looking and light enough for long rides. Overall has great functions including well placed speaker pockets for Bluetooth devices. A lot of options for a helmet in this price range. This is my second Bell Helmet, my other Bell is the Pit Boss, both are a great fit for my head shape. Already have 500 miles on the Qualifier and am very happy.
