To be successful at anything, start by knowing what and who you're FOR!
This book is a great read for a team looking to grow their clientele or customer base by being customer-centric while developing healthy team habits and practices. Jeff is a great communicator and now author. Work on what you want to be known FOR. Is it about the bottom line, or about improving lives? You can have success as a business or church BY making a positive impact on people. Take a look at churches, nonprofits and businesses who are doing a good job at this. What do they all have in common? Being outward focused. Your customers will become your mouthpiece when you get it right.

Great Concepts When Practiced Genuinely
As expected, this was an insightful leadership book. We most certainly live in the role of servant and life-changer when dealing with others. There was a day that businesses existed to serve their customer. We are simply seeing a swing back to that. As a church pastor, the church's mission was always SUPPOSED to be to serve others. However, most of us have allowed our focus to turn inward. The churches that have thrived have always focused on those who are outside of the church. Jeff Henderson offers a powerful reminder that we MUST get our eyes off of ourselves and get back to serving others. It's a biblical concept that will never fade away. The caution we must use is to not tag the FOR concept on as one more "gimmick" for our organization to use to draw people in. We must alter our hearts to take the servant role. We must read this book as a lesson of "how to impact lives" rather than "how to manipulate people". Jeff, thank you for being FOR us. I pray I do a better job of being FOR others!

The Wow Factor in Business - Yes!
This book contains so many golden nuggets to stand out in business in the digital age. My biggest takeaway was the WOW factor, and doing for 1 what you wish you could do for many. The author cites the Ritz Carlton Company as a prime example of a brand that does this well. Ironically my husband and I were en route to a Ritz property while I was reading this book and sure enough, they wowed us there with a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful suite! Jeff’s book contains so many other great examples of how showing your customers you truly care builds brand loyalty. It’s not only clear that the RitzCarlton cares, but that Jeff Henderson does too. Good practical tips for businesses and entrepreneurs to leverage the “social” in social media - as opposed to digital advertising - and create free marketing. Highly recommend!

I love, love, love Jeff Henderson's book. In a world of marketing angles and manipulation, Jeff gets to the heart of, not only how to grow an effective business, but how to develop your business (church/non-for-profit) in a way that authentically adds value to people and your community. This book should be required reading for business programs across North America!

Having seen the FOR slogan around for a few years, it was great to finally hear the vision/heart behind it when listening to Jeff Henderson on the Carey Nieuwhoff podcast. Since then I’ve listened to as much as I can and now read this book to get a heart for how to implement the FOR mentality where ever possible. It’s a great challenge as this is a great book. I would have like to have heard more about how this has been implemented by Jeff’s church, but I appreciate the goal of the book was to inspire marketplace leaders a much as church leaders and that’s great.

I gave 5 stars because of the content, the style the book was wrote and because of the undeniable and power FOR message. Truly a must read for anyone who has a desire to create happy, loyal customer and grow a thriving organisation in business.

I loved the practical and easy-to-follow approach. It was inspiring. I would recommend this to any business owner, even school principals.
