I don't believe it is. I also might caution against purchasing this brush. While I love the results it gives my hair when my stylist uses it, I found that for personal use, the bristles were extremely harsh. I bought it to use on my long bob to achieve a roundness to the back of my hair. When using it, because the bristles are so "tough", I ended up with a red, rash-like look to my neck and actually found it painful to use. I bought a round brush at Target for under $10.00 and love it. Good luck.

In the product description it states that this round brush has boar bristles, is this accurate?

NO IT IS NOT! I cut and burnt one bristle and it is clearly plastic smell and texture. It is a good brush though. But for such low price you won't get a real boar bristle.

This isn't made of real boar bristle is it? Looks like white plastic.

No this one is not boar bristle. They do have some new brushes that are boar but this one is not. It is an awesome brush though as it's the only brush I've used that gets my hair smooth and frizz free during blow drying. I now have one in every size.
