FP0018-7D Top-Mount Float Switch for Pedestal Sump Pumps

Had to splice two wire to replace the clips on the end. However my pump last an older model. But got it working OK.

This switch worked perfectly for 11 days, then failed. Pump runs continuously, even when the sump is empty and the float has dropped, actuating the switch.Update: 5/16/17 Amazon replaced the switch. I installed it today 5/16/17. The replacement works as it should, but it hasn't been in service long enough to make a prediction of how it will last. Reading other review of this item, it appears that the most common failure mode is that the switch fails to turn off, rather than turning on. This mode will not flood your basement, but it might burn up the pump!Of course, if that happens, your basement will flood anyway!Five stars for Amazon for their customer service, as for the switch, we'll wait and see....

Slight design change but connections are same.

Had to buy this in order to replace another one that went defective. It is a viscous circle that they only last for so long and you have to have a spare one on hand or risk a flooded basement. Seems pricey for how it is made and the fact that it has to be replaced so often. On my fourth one already.

Worked perfectly did not have to replace the whole simp pump.

Was an easy replacement and it works beautifully.

Doesn't last long. 6 months.
