Replacement Post Hole Digger Fishtail Spiral Point

After searching far and near for a replacement bit I stumbled on this one and I'm glad I did, It worked just as it should, and helped drill beautiful holes for my posts. After drilling over 100 holes with it, it's showing signs of normal wear, I had several different grounds to drill through, ( soft,rocky, sand and very very hard clay), in fact I never made it through the hard clay, it drilled about a foot and that was all I could get until I broke out the Digging Bar, and of course it started to wear out not only the pilot but the teeth as well. so all in all it did great and drilled most with no problems. One thing I will add hear is that the hole for the bolt did not line up with the hole in my auger so some adjustment was needed to make it work, other than that nice product.

It worked breaking through harden sun dried summer pre-historic lake bed gumbo dirt...The Fishtail T was purchased through Amazon and used after the original equipment tip failed. The auger is a 9” and attached to a John Deere 1025R.

I had to replace the old bit on my old.....yes , 1970 era model post hole digger ( operates from my tractor PTO. ). Had to get through about 6” or 8” of the hard , hard.......... HARD Sand-stone we have here in Oklahoma. This Bit absolutely tore through that sandstone. If I had to recommend a good bit to go through Hard surface.... this would be the best. I also purchased some replacement cutting teeth to replace at the same time

This thing worked like a charm! Didn’t realize how worn out the old one was until we replaced it with this one! Had the hole dug I 5 minutes!

Excellent auger tip. It will cut without trying to screw itself (and the auger) into the ground!

Digs into hard packed dirt much better than the standard spiral screw.

Works great, Beat point I've ever used.

This part went right on the auger and seems to work really well! Would recommend
