Pleasant Hearth GFB100 Vent-Free Fireplace Blower

I'm glad we bought this fan and installed it. It comes on and shuts off as needed. We never hear it, but it comes on when the fire warms it up enough and shuts off after it has cooled down after the fire goes out. The fireplace is amazing. I love how the thermostat works perfectly to turn the fire on and off.

Comfort Glow, Pleasant Hearth, Kozy-World and may others less expensive blower kit. I ordered the Direct replacement for Com Glow 20-6140 blower for $100. bucks. I also ordered this Pleasant Hearth GFB100 for $39.23. Both boxes and items were identical except,,, The Com Glow 20-6140 blower box had a decal covering ONE of the Pleasant Hearth GFB100 model numbers. They are both exactly the same except for the cost. I have a 20 year old Heatalator wood burning fireplace, It has duel fans, They are loud but move close to 200 cfps. Never had to replace or lube them, they are mounted under the firebox chamber... About me; I'm a state licensed plumber/gas-fitter and HVAC tech. Now for the pro's and con's Pro; more than 1/2 the cost, easy to install if know to screw in a screw has high temp wires and connectors everything is included in the kit... Con's; Is slightly loud The fan assembly has to be mounted above the firebox. This shortens it's lifespan due to the motor bearings/bushings being exposed to firebox heat? NOT a Good Idea! I think bottom mounted blower with ball bearing motor and fan end shaft would last longer than these cheap made units. I'll repost If I can relocate the blower below the firebox

I bought this to replace the blower in my Pleasant Hearth fireplace that had it's bearings go bad. Replacement was easy and solved the rattling noise. The build quality seemed equal to the original.

This motor came with everything needed to install a new motor. However, if you are just replacing a defective unit, it's plug and play. It comes with new motor, heat sensor, wiring harness and new switch. Very easy to install and will definitely buy again when this one goes out. We used it on our pleasant hearth fireplace replacement part gfb100

First one was defective so I returned and this one seems to work fine. It’s not a blast of air but my home is small and I think it will do just fine.

This product is average. It is quiet and it circulates air but not as much as it should. The fan itself has three settings and two of which are useless as they only turn on after the temperature becomes unbearable. I only use the on setting so that pushes warm air as soon the fireplace is turned on. I do think this unit could be improved and circulate air more efficiently.
