I bought a Maxpedition large size bottle holder (12" x 5") what size Blackhawk Speed clips do I need to put the holder on my 5.11 Rush 12?

Hello, I donʻt have that maxpedition pouch but with a pouch that big I would suggest at least the 5" speed clips or Maxpedition 5" TacTies.

Normally, one would "weave" the clip through. Has anyone ever inserted the clip on the pouch and just "hooked it on" the molle? Is this reliable?

I've done it... found two issues... 1, rapid movement like running or competition, the clips move and release. 2, I have my IFAKS "clipped" to my range bag... after placing the bag in the car, and taking it out to shoot, it usually unhook and falls off. It's quicker to clip it on, especially since I change out a lot, but for long term, it's best to weave it.

These are "5". They come in 3, 5, 7, 9. A "5" fits under 3 MOLLE straps (5 inches). The longest, "9", fits over 5 MOLLE straps. The number matches the number of rows it spans. Typically every other row is a strap, so the "5" fits over 3 straps and 2 spaces between straps (5 rows).
