Quiet Riot is a rock & roll phenomenon. Widely known as the first heavy metal band to top the US pop charts, the Los Angeles quartet became a global sensation thanks to their monsterous smash hit 1983 album, 'Metal Health'. With this release, Quiet Riot introduced to the fans powerhouse vocalist James Durbin, who stepped in the eleventh hour to give his imprint to the new songs. Firstly I had to get my head around removing all comparisons to Quiet Riot simply because there are none. Once I did that and started to listen to it as a collection of songs by band unknown it really came to life. For me the production took a bit of getting used to but so did everything else and I tell you what it’s bloody good!

Give a proper chance, it’s worth it!
This is a very decent hard rock album. For me it took quite a while to come to that conclusion but I’m glad I persevered. Not Quiet Riot
By Name maybe but Kevin Dubruw and Rudy Sarzo were the backbone of QR what have we got now American Idol James Durbin singing if thats what you call it after listening to Hollywood Cowboys thats what they are Cowboys my heart sinks when I think of the band I loved. Under another Name you could think thats ok but under the QR moniker sorry but the history of the band deserve more will give it 3 out of 10 if pushed

Quiet Riot ist ein klangvoller Name in der Hardrock und Metal Szene. Die Band hat auch im Jahr 2019 einen völlig eigenen Sound. Sehr reduziert und "knarzig"! Aber jeder Somg auf "Hollywood Cowboys" hat seine Momente. Mir gefällt die Platte - auch weil Sie sich von der Masse abhebt. Fans des 70er und 80er Hardrocks werden durchaus Ihre Freude an dem Album haben.

Fast delivery! Arrived a day early.Pretty good album.I like Quiet Riot and james durbin is an excellent singer.The production is very good.Gatefold is nice but inner sleeve is generic.The songs are actually really good.side 2 is heavier than side 1.I like side 2 better.If you like Durbins vocals you will like this album.He co wrote most of the songs on side 2 but none on side 1.This explains why I like side 2 better.Has a Dio feel to it which is cool.All in all a solid album. It is Frankies last recording so I am glad that I purchased it.

Once you get past the fact that Kevin Dubrow is gone and give this a chance, it is really great rock and roll. I enjoyed Road Rage and think this builds upon those strengths. Glad Frankie has carried on with Quiet Riot. God bless him in his fight against pancreatic cancer. All fans of 80's hard rock should buy this to show their support for a true hero of that scene.
