Strong, stable, easy assembly
These shelves are wonderful. They’re sturdy, stable, and very easy to put together. The adjustable feet make it simple to level them on any type of floor, including carpet. They have a good, balanced weight—heavy enough to feel solid, but not so heavy that they’re hard to move, and not so light that they feel flimsy. The depth and width are practical, and the slatted shelves make cleaning easier since you don’t have to move items around to dust underneath. Shelf heights can be individually selected at approximately 1-inch increments for great flexibility and functionality. My only wish is that additional shelves could be purchased separately and that shorter companion units were available with the same shelf dimensions. Assembly note: The plastic clips that hold the shelves don’t snap together in your hand. You place one on either side of the pole, grip them together, and slide them down. They snap into place once they reach the next groove.

Bought a second one perfect for saving space
This is the second shelving unit I’ve purchased, and it’s been perfect for organizing the back office at my job. It really helps save space while keeping everything easy to see and access. Assembly is quick, the shelves feel sturdy, and I love that they’re adjustable so you can customize them for boxes, supplies, and equipment. Once it’s set up, the whole space instantly feels more organized and functional. Great quality for the price and an easy repurchase if you need extra storage.

Very sturdy and easy to assemble
Great quality for the price. Sturdy and easy to assemble. True to size. We’ve only used it as pantry storage so I’m not sure how much it can hold but it seems really solid !

Strong, Spacious, and Surprisingly Easy to Assemble
My garage and basement were in dire need of organization, so I picked up this 5-shelf Amazon Basics unit. I was a bit apprehensive about assembly when I saw the tall box, but it turned out to be quite straightforward – no tools required except maybe a rubber mallet (which helps but isn’t absolutely necessary). The shelf comes in parts: poles, plastic connectors, and the metal shelves themselves. The poles are in sections that you stack; the design uses black plastic split sleeves that snap around the poles at whatever height you want each shelf, and then the shelf slides down over them and locks in place. I appreciated the adjustable height feature because it let me customize how much clearance I have between shelves. For example, on one shelf I spaced it taller to fit paint cans and a taller shop vac, and on another shelf I went shorter spacing for toolboxes and smaller items. In under an hour, I had the whole unit up and stable, and I’m no expert – just a patient retiree with some DIY enthusiasm. Once assembled, this rack is solid. Each shelf is rated for up to 350 lbs when weight is evenly distributed, and while I haven’t tested the upper limits, I have loaded some pretty heavy stuff on there. Currently one shelf is holding a mix of heavy power tools (circular saw, bench grinder, etc.) and maybe 200+ lbs combined – and there’s zero sag. The black powder-coated steel looks nice and doesn’t rust (important in my sometimes damp basement). It also comes with adjustable feet so you can level it on uneven floors. My basement floor has a slight slope, so I just twisted one foot a little longer and the wobble was gone. If you plan to really max out the weight or have it free-standing with kids around, you might consider anchoring it to the wall (there are no included brackets for that, but a simple L-bracket would do). In my case, it’s tucked against a wall and even when I shake it, it’s very stable due to the weight on it. One of the best things is how much it decluttered my space. With five full shelves, I managed to get bins of holiday decorations, camping gear, and miscellaneous household tools all up off the floor and neatly organized. It’s amazing how vertical storage can create so much more room. The shelves are wire-style, which is fine for most things – smaller items I put in plastic bins so they don’t tip. One small caution: when assembling, make sure the plastic sleeves are well seated in the little grooves on the poles and that the “top” of each sleeve is aligned at the same groove on all four poles. I made the mistake of having one sleeve slightly higher on one pole initially, and the shelf wouldn’t slide down. A quick adjustment fixed it. Also, use a light tap from a mallet or a piece of wood to ensure each corner of the shelf is fully down on the sleeve, then it’s rock solid. I actually ended up buying a second one of these units after seeing how useful the first was. Now my garage has one too, holding car wash supplies, oil cans, and even a cage fan (the fan I use for drying floor finish, not my wife’s favorite item – but now it’s got a spot!). This shelving unit proves that you don’t need to spend a fortune for strong, dependable storage. It’s functional, no-nonsense, and gets the job done, which is exactly what I needed.

It Works As Expected - Good For the Price - 4 Shelves Version
I've been hunting for a shelf to put my 80 pound CRT TV on, and that is a lot harder to find then you'd imagine, especially for the length and depth of the thing. However I found this thing for cheap, and honestly for the price, you could do a lot worse than this. The shelves are stated to be able to hold 350lbs, so for most everyday uses I can see this working. For my use it works fine. The Shelf itself is very wobbly with nothing on it, however once you put stuff on it the weight more properly distributes and settles, thus becomes a lot more of a shelf. Now even with only the TV on it it feels sturdy and I trust it enough. Empathies on the enough part. It holds the weight fine enough, I don't see any issues. Although with me using apparently 22% of the total load for that shelf I'd hope it didn't bend much. The Depth of this thing is honestly too small. It works for most things, like books, but for my needs it just does not go deep enough. If it was maybe an inch longer at 16-18 inches for depth instead of 14 then it would be perfect for my needs. Otherwise it technically works for my needs but not comfortably enough to where I plan to have it be my main shelf as intended. The shelf is also shorter than I expected, but this is all down to my warps perception of scale. If you need an example of the scale of it, it is a bit shorter than me by about a foot and a half. I am 5'10" Also when I received the item, one of the shelves (of the four included) was damaged out of the box. I can't say I am too angry since I didn't need the fourth shelf, however it is still a major issue. I'm sure I'm one of the few to get one like that however the fact it did happen is a problem. For 60 bucks (about what I got it for) you can do a lot worse for heavy duty shelves. Cheap and Sturdy do not typically mix, however in this case it seems that they have almost struck that balance. I understand these shelves usually all come from generally the same sources, but there needs to be more options for various storage spaces and various needs. It works for most, even works for me, but I will be relegating this to a second storage center as I order a shelf with more depth. I also did not put the wheels on it as I did not need to TV Rolling away from me. But I imagine they work fine, if not only recommended for lighter items. It was quite easy to assemble, almost deceptively so. To be fair, most of these wire shelves all set up in the same method but it was nice that at least the assembly regardless was as easy as expected. Shelves work, server their purpose, just not perfect, and not exactly what I needed. Even with it not being exactly what I needed it still has enough issues to mark off a star.

Good and sturdy shelving.
Construction seems solid. We converted hallway coat closet into a second pantry and needed shelving for our kitchen appliances. The shelves are able to hold our heavy kitchenaid mixer and heavy Dutch ovens with no problem. It was easy to assemble and is stable with the use of the screw-type levelers on the bottom posts.

Great shelves; look nice and a breeze to assemble
Great shelves; look nice and a breeze to assemble. I've never used shelves with this type of assembly before but once I started to put them together I was amazed at how easy--and sturdy--it was. No tools requried unless you decide to anchor them to a wall. The instructions say it is easiest to do with two people and I agree it would be easier but I put them together by myself.

Who’s the third one that I bought
OK so I absolutely love these and this is the third one I bought and I plan on buying more. First of all it fits so much stuff. So it gets a lot of stuff off of those small shelves that take up so much space. Second of all it’s very strong and very sturdy when you put it together right. My oldest who’s 12 literally destroys all of her furniture I even gave up on buying her bed frames because she manages to break them, she has had one of these shelves for about a year now and it’s still in perfect condition. Oh and then also I can’t get over the price because it’s lasted so long and it’s so sturdy and it fits so much it is my favorite thing for the house because it’s so dang cheap. I wanna get rid of all of my tiny shorter wooden bookshelves and replace it with one of these things. Because it saves so much room. And if you don’t want the huge gaps between the metal things if you put one of those plastic rubber shelf thing that’s on them it works just fine! And then I also forgot to add you can adjust it so if you wanted to use it to put a medium size TV on you could make it so that the shelves are closer together and have a bigger gap so that there’s a kid there is a TV that could fit in the middle. I want one in the playroom I want to in my youngest room and I want to and my oldest rum and I want one in the kitchen. Literally just one of these shelves gets rid of three or four of my other regular size wooden bookshelves because even though the wooden bookshelves look more Homy they just do not fit a lot especially when you have young kids that has a whole bunch of stuff. Or if you live in a small apartment building and you need to save room because you don’t like clutter. Oh and I have another thing to add it’s really easy to put together once you figured it out at first I was really confused and very frustrated but then once I figure it out I was able to put the second two that I bought with no problem together. I literally can’t get over the price I’m sorry. I the people who are saying is not sturdy or just not putting it together enough. It does takeSome arm strength and yes it could be a little frustrating because it’s easy to make it so that the legs are crooked. But I do believe that’s why there is curves all the way at the polls so that you can count how many curves you’re at so that you can make sure that it’s even or you can go old-school and just simply use a measuring tape but I don’t like measuring tapes lol so I just counted up the curves up on the pool so if I was on curve eight with the bottom shelf I would make sure I was on curve eight with the other three corners of that shelf. I noticed they also had a tall tall skinny one that’s very similar to this that I’m thinking of trying out as well. Since I live in an apartment building you cannot put wall shelves that you have to have floor shelves. And it just takes up so much space this is a great space saver
