Armour of God – Digitally Remastered The world’s #1 action star in his greatest adventure yet! Jackie Chan plays Jackie, aka the Asian Hawk, an Indiana Jones-style adventurer looking to make a fortune finding exotic antiquities. After discovering a mysterious sword in Africa, a band of Satan-worshipping monks kidnap Jackie's ex-girlfriend Lorelei (Rosamund Kwan), demanding as ransom the sword and other pieces of the legendary Armour of God -- a reportedly magical outfit dating back to the Crusades. He manages to get the objects in question from wealthy collector Bannon (Bozidar Smiljanic); together with Bannon's daughter May (Lola Forner) and, of course, Hong Kong rock star Alan (Alan Tam), the three head out to rescue Lorelei. Chan also directs this action-adventure featuring kung fu and wild stunts.

Fortune Star bluray version of Armour Of God
This Fortune Star bluray release of Armour Of God is definitely great. Picture quality is very good, though it's an obvious upscale. English subtitles are available as the audio is Chinese, and those subtitles will give you a chuckle at the occasional bad grammer.If you've never seen it, Armour Of God is highly recommended. It's one of Jackie Chan's best movies from the 80s. Jackie plays "Asian Hawk", a former rockstar turned modern-day Indiana Jones type explorer who is in a battle against an evil cult that worship a snake god, deal in opiates and cocaine, commit violent acts of murder, kidnap people and indulge in prostitutes... Yikes! Have no fear though, Jackie beats 'em up.My only gripe is that this release has an Alan Tam song play over the ending instead of Jackie Chan's infamous tune Flight Of The Dragon which can be found on other versions. Not a deal breaker though.Get this version and stay FAR away from the US cut, which is erroneously titled Operation Condor 2 (fun fact- Operation Condor is actually the sequel to this, not the other way around).

If you are a Jackie Chan fan then this is one of his better films. Whilst a little violent in parts, also very funny and worth.

The Hawk
A bounty hunter is blackmailed into going after a mystical artifact, The Armour Of God which grants unlimited power. Classic Chinese martial arts action adventure. One of Jackie Chan's best films featuring the usual crazy dangerous stunts and humour once again looking as if Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin had done a martial arts movie feeling like a Chinese Indiana Jones movie. A must buy for fans.

Great move but not Jackie
I love this movie, however this is not the original Jackie dub, where he dubbed his own character. It’s voiced by a terrible actor who misses some lines

A cracking film and Im sure when I watched this Dragon Edition there were one or two enhancements or it looked different in some bits but it's a cracking movie nonetheless - However this Dragon Edition Bluray of Armour of God does not have English subtitles or dubb, which is why I have rated it 4 stars instead of the 5 stars.
