I have rarely been this grateful for a book. Without it, my first forays into men's tailoring would have been an abject failure, even though I have very advanced sewing skills and have sewn professionally. Photos are black and white, but highlighted with red to make critical details clear. This newer edition is definitely worth it for the increased number and quality of illustrations. Very clear instructions are provided for every detail of creating men's tailored pants, vests, and jackets.

This is a great book for troubleshooting if you are custom tailoring. I was looking for more practical knowledge in finishing off vents, which I didn’t find. What I also needed, that I found was the spacing of buttons for a double breasted jacket! That part was gold!!!

Excellent and full of useful information and technical terms. It brings a better understanding to those who are interested in the subject of tailoring menswear but have not received a formal education. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has the desire to produce more professional results in their tailoring practices.

Im currently taking a Tailoring class and the detailed photographs are very helpful while attempting to create my prototype. It has information on tools, threads, construction and more...a must have in the Tailoring world.

This is the best book you could buy. It list what materials you need, basic stitching, how to correct problems, what build up is needed within the jacket. It even goes into trousers. Worth every penny. This is a perfect book to add to your collection.

Si vous voulez apprendre à faire une veste, un pantalon ou un gilet, dans le plus pure tradition de Savile Row, voilà le livre qu'il vous faut. Des pas à pas ultra précis, ultra détaillés, ultra expliqués. Évidemment en anglais, mais ce n'est pas un gros défaut tant les dessins et photos sont fines.
