Lord 100 Shark Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades

One of the best blades I've ever used. Extremely sharp, without being stupidly sharp. Good smooth shave at a great price. Works great with a muhle r41 for a good one pass shave

Product is so inexpensive you can use a fresh blade every shave if you wanted to. I can usually get 3-4 shaves from on blade even with a thick beard. Dump those cartridge razors

To be honest I probably had too many blades. But, I ordered 100 of these Shark Platinum blades and they have become just about my favorite go to blade along with Rapira Platinum Lux. The Shark Platinum are a little smoother than Rapira and almost as sharp. Platinum Shark has the right balance of sharpness and smoothness in my opinion. Get at least 4 double pass shaves from these before I would even think to replace one. Pretty solid for a 10 cent blade. Have used in Merkur and Rockwell razors and get great results with both. Very smooth and without irritation and without experiencing a single bad blade. These come in a plastic case that can store used blades as well. May get another 100 while the getting is good even though my first hundred will probably last a year and a half.

I have been wet shaving for just short of two years now, and this blade has turned out to be my favorite. I have tried over 25 different blades and I have about 10 razors. This blade, combined with my Rockwell 6S razor with the R4 head, is the best. I do a four pass, face only shave. With this combo, I get a BBS (baby butt smooth) every time and no irritation (sometimes if I shave too fast). I’ve used the blade in the Gillette Heritage and I get a bit of irritation. I’ve also used it in the Feather AS-D2 and it works well, but that razor is a bit too mild (not the blade’s problem). I like Nacet, Gillette Ruby, Gillette Platinum, and PolSilver Super Iridium and get about 3-4 shaves out of each blade. With the Shark Platinum I change it after seven shaves, but I don’t really need to. In other words, the Shark is a lot cheaper and lasts almost twice as long. I tried the Shark Stainless and Chrome, but did not like either. Remember to shave at least twice with the blade because, like all coated blades (for me), the subsequent shaves are better.

My local store stopped stocking their store brand which were re-branded Israeli Personnas a few years back. I bought all I could find when they reduced them to 50 cents for a 10 pack on closeout. Great blades. Fast forward five years and I bought a sampler pack that included these blades while looking for a replacement for my depleted stock. Since I had a lot of blades, I only used most of them once or twice when doing my evaluations. These were pretty good on the first shave and were superior to some of the other blades. Wish I tried another shave before I bought 100 of these though. I get one good shave, one OK shave and the third is pulling my beard out by the roots. I did not expect this as with most other brands I can get four or five good shaves, or even more if I dry the blades after use (old Clark Howard trick to make them last forever). I tried both drying and not drying these, but it did not make any difference. I think these were under $7 so they are still reasonably cheap at two shaves per blade, but I think there are better deals out there when you consider how much more use you can get from some other blades. This morning I tried a third shave again just to make sure. Got about two strokes in when I decided it was not working. Switched to a previously used Rapira Swedish Super Steel that already had five shaves and dried after each use to finish. After six shaves the Rapira is still going strong. Night and day difference. I'm getting at least three times the good shaves from the Rapira blades, so even at twice the price they are a better deal.

I have been wet shaving for 25 years, and have used a lot of different blades in my time. These blades are definitely in my top 10 rotation. I get about 6-8 shaves per blade, they are smooth with no irritation right out of the pack, and they are very well priced. Out of all of the Shark blades, these are definitely the sharpest ones. They are about as sharp as the Gillette Silver Blue blades to anyone that is a fellow wet shaver. Definitely worth picking up some to use.

Finally made the switch and these blades are great. Getting 3-4 shaves from each blade but even at 1 per, it’s still cheaper and a closer shave than cartridge razors. Highly recommend as someone who has sensitive skin!
