Helpful Book with Numerous Examples
As a student, I found this book to be very helpful. Though Statics was not my best class, this book certainly made topics clear and concise.Pros:• Has A LOT of examples. They are very detailed and they explain everything thoroughly.• Is not too “wordy”. Meaning that it will not confuse you, it is very straight forward.• Objectives are clear• Contains a very concise summary at the end• Contain step-by-step procedures for solving general problems• Pictures and diagrams clearly drawn, labeled, and captioned. They are also very practical, perhaps the most practical I’ve seen.Cons:• The book lacks some theory, or it is overlooked because of the amount of examples.Overall, I think it is a great book and I would definitely recommend this to professors who plan on teaching statics or are even interested it just learning the topic,

Good book for Engineering students
Delivered in time. A good book for Mechanical Engineering students.

A decent textbook
Statics and its horrible sibling Dynamics were my two least favorite engineering subjects. They basically take the worst problems in physics, make them harder, and then uses them in a full semester-long course. This book just covers the Statics material. There is a different edition that covers both Statics and Dynamics, and an edition that just covers Dynamics. How helpful the book will be to you I think depends on i) how good a teacher you have, and ii) the kind of homework problems he or she assigns. Overall, I found that the theory was explained fairly well and the examples gave you a good idea of how to approach solving many of the problems in the problem sets. But, as pretty much every math, science, and engineering textbook do, this one does have problems in the problem set that are much harder than the examples in the chapter text. So, if your professor assigns the harder problems and/or is not easy to follow, you will probably need to get a study guide to supplement the textbook. But, if you have a pretty decent teacher who assigns problems from the chapter that are similar in difficulty to the examples in the chapter text or that are shown during lecture, then the book will give you a pretty good understanding of the material and you can probably understand it without any additional supplements or study guides.

Satisfecha con la compra
The media could not be loaded. Todo en muy buen estado. Las páginas limpias y nada subrayado ni escrito. Uno que otra esquina de páginas dobladas pero puedo suponer que fue por el manejo en el proceso de envío, el resto de las páginas bien. No habían páginas sueltas.

Amazing reference book for Civil Engineers
I used this book for class, and ended up keeping the book for my professional career. It's a great book with well-written examples and solutions with challenging practice problems to guide mastery of concepts.

Good... for the most part
This book did a good job of teaching most of the concepts, and the example problems often were very similar to the type of problems you are asked to do. This helped me understand the topic very well. However, when the book got to virtual work I found the explanation and examples to be of little help in understanding the concept as a whole and did not help me what so ever in solving problems.

Extremely good book
I have a statics course and this book is really good at explaining the problems and concepts with ease. it has tons of examples and worked out solutions in the back for a lot of problems. Definitely recommend this book to anyone taking Statics or that wants to learn
