It will cover it up but not make it look perfect
I needed this and the amber color for a busted tail light. We have an old Saturn that runs like a champ even though it is a goofy car. It is probably worth about $3000. To buy a new tail light was $200! I am trying not to but a whole lot of $ into other than basic maintenance but I was getting pulled over for the broken tail light. This was a great cheap fix. The glue sticks great, the color is pretty close, and the texture looks similar. Yes you can tell it is patched if you look at it within a few feet, but it is a cheap fix that was just what I was looking for

Cheap way to repair a taillight
This product worked fine to cover a hole in my taillight lens. Easy to use. The adhesive seems sound. Only problem might be the color match. It's definitely a darker red than my car's lens. Beats replacing the entire taillight assembly, though!

good for quick fix
Works great but the color vas noticeable because its a lot darker. dislike: didn't have shades of red and diffrent textures to match better. LIkes: very easy to use great idea for quick fix. I would recommend to all.

Didn't work for me.
Didn't stick. Might have been because it was cold. Might have been the (very) slight curve I had to cover. Might have been user error. But basically didn't work at all. Held in place for a minute+, just came right off seconds later. The sticky wasn't.

Waste of money
Although this wasn’t the cheapest repair option out there, I applied it easily and it adhered very well, but the inspection station rejected it here in Texas. Be sure to check local laws to avoid wasting money. Luckily I was able to run to a nearby auto parts to put out the big bucks on a complete light replacement, popped that in, and was back to get the inspection just before closing time. This item, however, went into the trash.

Works well
I live in Texas and I was not sure it this would let us pass state inspection, but it worked. We had a tiny hole in our tail light, and this repaired it quickly ans easily. They did not let us pass inspection the first time, but when we brought it back with this on they did not say anything and passed us. No, Guarantee everyone will pass this, but it's worth the small price gamble versus replacement for the whole lens. It does have a texture to it, so it's more then tape, so I think everyone will pass it.

Been looking for something like this. I recommend for minor repairs.
I had a small irregular shaped hole in my taillight. My taillight is plain (smooth) and this product is textured. Did not matter. It went on with no hitches and from a short distance one cannot tell the difference between original and patch. This is just what I was looking for, Far and away better than the age old taillight tape. My repair was around a curved surface. The patch was pliable and attached with no problem Highly satisfied for the minor repair I needed. .

It'll Do
My wife backed into a(nother) pole, and broke out her tail light lens. A used replacement lens was selling online for $175, and I found the idea of spending that much ridiculous. That being said, I didn't want her driving around with half of a tail light either. I found this product, and thought it was worth a shot. The repair kit was easy to apply - I cut a template out of paper first to ensure proper fit. Then I cleaned and dryed the broken lens and began to apply the repair kit. Where the lens was broken included a pretty sharp curve, and the kit did not seem to be bending well enough to adhere properly. I solved that issue by using a hair dryer set on high to heat the plastic kit piece up enough to be a little more flexible and pliable. That allowed the kit piece to adhere properly to the lens, even on the curved piece. The repair kit has been in place for about a month now, and is holding up well. It isn't as perfect looking as a replacement lens would have been, but the savings more than makes up for this (about $14 with shipping for the kit as opposed to $175 plus shipping for the actual lens).
