Autel AP200 Bluetooth OBD2 Scanner Code Reader with Full Systems Diagnoses, AutoVIN, Oil/EPB/BMS/SAS/TPMS/DPF Resets IMMO Service for Family DIYers (DIY Version of MK808)

Have purchased this based on the good reviews and am very impressed with it, as I was thinking of spending upto £400 on ones with their own display. This uses a bluetooth OBDII adapter that connects to your smart phone to display the results. You get one maker of vehicle free, but if you have several makes of car like Audi, Porsche, BMW etc. then each brand will cost about £20 to add on. The reader uses the vehicle VIN number to get accurate results specific to your model of car, and it even tells me all the options that are fitted to my Land Rover. It will read and clear fault codes, reset your battery monitor after fitting a new battery, and lots more. I have been using it recently to diagnose faulty parking sensors on my Mercedes CLK, and using live data function you can see the distance measurements that each sensor is detecting, so even if a sensor does not have a code you can see if it is taking measurements. One sensor did have a fault code, but I found another that was faulty but no fault code. Depending on what you are diagnosing you can display graph or dial displays of live data. The only function this scanner does not have that maybe useful is actuator testing, for example if you wanted to switch the fuel pump on/off or test the operation of a door lock motor, but you would need to spend a lot more money if you needed that function which in most cases you don't need it.

My car is a Vauxhall Astra J 2.0 CDTI (2011). Downloaded the app, installed all the updates which involved downloading a separate app for some reason, connected the device and did a firmware update, then downloaded the Vauxhall package. Not the most user friendly process but it worked with no issues. You get one manufacturer package for free, the rest I believe you have to pay an additional fee of about £20 for. It detected my car automatically from the VIN, all of the functions worked, very in-depth information, everything you can think of. I had access to full diagnostics as well as several manufacturers tools to allow me to force a DPF regen or reset various systems etc. I was able to clear old fault codes and the new one I was having issues with, pointing me in the direction of a fault I was able to fix myself saving a trip to the mechanic so it has already paid for itself. Very happy.

I have used this for over 6 months and its been great. I love the fact that it connects to your phone via Bluetooth so you dont need a cable hanging around and getting in the way. You can sit in the passenger seat and watch the live data while a friend drives the car. The main reason for buying it was the fact that it reads at dealer level. I have a Seat Altea which is VW underneath so getting dealer level information is great. When you first connect the device it allows you to connect 1 car make to the dongle for free. That will be free for the life of the unit. Other makes are available, in fact almost every other make i can think of. They cost about £20 for each extra make which is i think a great price as you cannot even get a cable for that fopr other makes! The device has updated its firmware automatically so keeping itself upto date. I can only speak as i find, for VW ( Seat ) diagnostics its been well worth the money and i would happily recommend it to anyone. Phil

****UPDATE/1 star review as the device has completely stopped working. You can see the device has power because the light is glowing red and it also connects to the maxi app no problem. However when trying to use the diagnostic function it comes up saying (vci box locked and being reviewed you can unlock once review is complete. I’v sat in the car for over an hour many times waiting for this to happen but nothing ever changes and the device is not useable. The second you get fed up and then the ignition off to get out of your car the device powers down and the app will not work until it reconnects. I’v contacted Autel many times with no response they have got the worst customer after sales support I’v ever come across. Very very unhappy because it was a fantastic tool that now is completely pointless. Original review- Only 4 stars as the app you have to download for it to work is not the easiest to use. Personally I downloaded the vw audi version as I have a seat exeo 2.0tdi. It works very well but it is ridiculous that to add more than the first brand of vehicle its about £20 extra and only lasts 1 year. In the cold weather my car wasn't running well and after a scan it was indicating that cylinder 1 glow plug circuit was faulty. So bought myself 4 new bosch glow plugs from euro car parts. The service manual states they are recommended to be changed every 60,000 miles anyway. Wow what a bitch of a job luckily didn't snap off any of the old ones and low and behold the plug that came out of cylinder one was missing a bit off the end compared with the others. Car starts and runs perfectly and now I'm confident that it will be able to diagnose any future faults.

Brilliant product with numerous functions. Works effortlessly and just as good as some of the more expensive all in one models with the screen. Tablet and mobile just as good. Uses many functions so far and works well Inc dpf regen and injector change and recoding. Only one vehicle licence at purchase but all our cars are same manufacturer so no issues. Easy enough to purchase other at a reasonable cost to make this ideal for multiple vehicles from various manufacturers. A must for home car repairs. Easy to use and reasonably intuitive

Scaricata l'app ufficiale seguendo le indicazioni del foglio illustrativo, effettuata la connessione con il dispositivo tramite un telefono android, l'app permette di scaricare gratuitamente un software per l'OBD e uno per la marca dell'auto (ulteriori altre marche a pagamento). Fatto ciò, a quadro acceso e motore spento puoi effettuare autodiagnosi, con lettura e cancellazione di codice errore e oltre a ciò permette la diagnosi in live, cioè a motore acceso e in marcia puoi vedere diversi parametri tra olio, turbina, gira, farfalle, filtri e non so che altro, poiché la mia preparazione in materia è molto scarsa. Facile da installare e configurare fa il suo lavoro e spegne le spie di errore, anche spia motore. Non so cosa altro aggiungere se non che ha una miriade di dati del veicolo durante la modalità real time o live come la volete chiamare. Soddisfatto.

Je l ai employé sur une Fiat Punto 55 de I années 96 avec un adaptateur ancienne prise obd fiat et obd2. Fonctionne très bien. J avais toujours le voyant de l injection qui s allumait, l obd2 Autel AP 200 à détecté la panne qui venait du calculateur. J'ai remplacé le calculateur et la voiture fonctionne parfaitement. Problème réglé.

Lo uso para un Range Rover y un Opel. Tiene tantas opciones que no las llego a utilizar todas. Es bastante completo en cuanto a la función "live data" (datos en directo). Se incluye una primera marca a elegir gratuita, se pueden ir comprando los accesos a mas marcas.

Cet appareil n'a pas fonctionné avec ma Dacia sandero stepway de 2017. Le sav d'autel ne donne pas de support aux produits vendus par l'intermédiaire d'autres distributeurs. Appareil retourné a l'expéditeur pour remboursement.

Le diagnostic fonctionne très bien et transmet de nombreux paramètres sur l'ABS, le moteur, l'UCH, la clim et le chauffage, etc. Mais dans la partie "service" pour purger le système ABS, il faut sélectionner un modèle et la Laguna 2 ne figure pas sur la liste. Cependant je n'ai peut-être pas la dernière mise à jour (mais j'en doute puisque j'ai une liste de modèles récents).
