Niermann StandbyPendant Lamp, Pirate

The retail price says $70 and I would never pay anywhere close to that. Luckily I didn't. I only paid $12.79 and it's barely worth that. I mean it's cute in concept and it does look like the picture, but it's not nice enough to warrant $70. It's plastic. Also, when I thought lamp, I was thinking a lamp on a table or something that could easily be converted to a table lamp. This is probably my fault for not reading that it is a pendant lamp so this has to be wired into a ceiling. We don't have any electrical work in the ceiling to be able to do this and it's not big enough nor would it provide enough light to be the center light in a kid's room. I'm not very handy, but I've read I can buy something to convert this to a lamp that I could then hang from a hook I put in a ceiling or wall and then just plug into an outlet in the wall. I hope to do that, but it's just not as easy as I was hoping.

The item was not completeThe shade should have 6 waite things to hold the shade 2 of them was missing so the item i can't use it at all to bad for my kid he was exssited about it

Design is really cute but the manufacturer should be ashamed of the flimsy plastic material. I have returned it because of lack of quality.

Love this light! A real focal point for our sons bedroom, has a thin line to keep the light at an angle so be sure not to cut it! Came with a very long lead to be trimmed as desired and a lightbulb came with it also. Hardy plastic design, very pleased!
