Wireless Controller- Xbox 360
Please read above and figure out from the "This Review Is From" to understand which controller and/or set the person is REVIEWING. There are a few choices to purchase from on this page and apparently people are getting confused as to what they are expecting and actually purchasing.Stars category...Really? Not what I expected to be asked. But OKAY. Its a 5 star either way. I wish I had another controller set to compare this to but I don't. I am new to the Xbox stuff. The button you use to turn it on in the middle of the controller (at the top) lights up. That is cool looking. The light will blink continuously to let you know that it is working to set up to the console. This will stop blinking once it has connected. The light will blink if you get out of range or if it cannot make contact with the box. It also will start blinking if the controller starts to loose its juice and needs new batteries. There are four lights in the power button and once you turn on 2 controllers at the same time only one light will be left on for first player and the opposite light (right side) will be left on for the second player. *I may have the left and right side players in reverse* But you get the idea.Battery compartment is on the back of the controller. You just hold a small slick button and pull and the back will come off and voila- put batteries in or take out and snap back to controller.Battery life- Well like with all other batteries this goes down to how much time you play with the controller and the brand. I just purchase the batteries with that bunny on them and they last awhile. We get about 2 months use with those but we also do not sit for hours on the Xbox either.Controller- Overall I don't really see what else they could add to these to improve them, they cover all your bases to most games unless that game requires a specific controller. These are easy to use and grip. Learning is self explanatory. Sometimes you just have to figure out which set of keys will work best for whatever game your playing.

Not much can be said that hasn't already.
Like the title to this review says, there isn't much about this controller that hasn't already been said. So I'll save everyone the same old trip about this and that, wireless, yadda yadda...What I will say about the 360's controller is that it does what its supposed to, first and formost, which is obviously important and the whole reason we're here.I will add, while it doesn't reflect on this model of controller, I had a prior model (the black with matte grey accents) analog stick sensors bug out on me (which is why I ended up getting this as a replacement). At the time I was playing Dragon Age: Origins as a Rogue. Any one who's played that game knows that to do melee combat you have to go in and generally not move, because you'll break your auto-attack -which for the build I was using was most of my damage. Well, with the analog sensors bugging out on the other controller, it was causing the game to assume I was moving when I wasn't and would make me drift away from my targets, even when my thumb was no where near the stick. It was annoying to say the least, but it turns out it was a defect that quite a few people were experiencing in the controller itself. I've since yet to see it happen with this controller, and its been over a year now, but the memory sticks in my mind to watch for it, and I'd be remiss if I didn't bring it up here.Other then that, All I can really say is that after years of 360 gaming I sort of miss some things from Sony's Dual Shock line of controllers that Microsoft didn't do very well with this controller; mainly I miss the segmented D-pad and the triggers from the PS2's controllers (I haven't held a Sony controller in years, so they may not have changed).I get by without the segmented D-pad, but it does keep me away from playing very many fighting games (I'm not really the type to buy an item, specially for gaming, SPECIFICALLY for one type of game -I'd rather just buy more games), but what really bugs me most still is those triggers. They're just not sensitive enough and the "throw" you have to put behind them is excessive compared to the way I remember the Dual Shocks simple "its a button, just press it" design was. While I know the resistance is meant to mimic a real trigger, for First Person Shooters, I'd much rather have had Microsoft give us an option between a controller with triggers and one with just another set of bumper buttons. It might be a nitpick overall, but when the rest of the controller is more or less fine, I have to pick the only battle that's really right up in my face.(As a side note, I'm aware of Microsofts other controller, with the twist D-pad, but having handled that a few times I don't find it to be all that be all that better of a solution to the D-pad issue for me.I also know about the Madcatz professional gamer model controller with the swap out parts, but I have not handled that at all and I doubt I will without a huge price cut. Up to $100 is simply too much money for a controller, even if it'll give me everything I'm looking for. I simply don't see the point in ending up paying extra for a bunch of extra parts I'll never use that'll clutter my house.)

this controller is better than what you find at gamestop
my controller arrived my 16,2014. this item was packed very well. when removed it from the package i found it was not glossy. i was happy because it wasn't. i bought this because i needed a new controller. when using it i noticed suttle differences, the first was that the D-pad was chrome, secondly it was a nice supprise the D-pad is much higher for easier maneuvering and not as stiff than your typical wireless controller you buy anywhere. the thumbsticks are great. they're not your typical ones. these are much better. they're more durable. it's a more durable rubber and also easier to manuver. and your thumbs fit in te center much betteri waited to right this review because, i wanted to see if it could stand up to the challenge of a full 2 weeks of Black Ops 2. it did very well. using the thumbsticks i did find it to be stiff, but after the break in period which was about 3-5 days for me. to test the right trigger button i used the following guns SMR and FAL.i choose these because they're not automactic from the start. it only goes as fast as you can pull the right trigger, and i purposly used it for that purpose. since the rubber is more durable and textured differently i found your able to go around people easier. to test left thumbstick used class with extereme condictioning because you constanly are pressing up on the thumbstick. that also held up very well. all the buttons work fine. none of them are loose eitheri read the reviews also posted about this controller. my thing on that is, when you have items of mass production you will have issues. this issue could be quilty controll. not enough people to check everything. as a big time gamer i was very happy
