This is a buy again basket whisky !
Probably the nicest whisky I've ever had, some serious quality expensive other whiskeys don't come close to this - this is pipe and glass warm fire winter whisky, this is selected friends only whisky, this is summer evening chilling by the fire pit whisky, this is an any time soother whisky, this is probably the whisky every purchaser will keep in their buy again basket i know i will..

Lovely. Not too peaty or smoky.
Lovely, mellow, slightly fruity flavours. Not too peaty or smoky. For fans of Auchentoshan.

A nice, smooth, good value Irish dram!
Bought this for my uncle whilst having had it several times myself. Great value, an actually beautiful bottle and a fine tasting, smooth Irish whiskey. Both of us agree it's a nice dram to have, especially at Christmas time due to its nutty, spicy, marzipan-esque aromas and dried fruit sweetness to taste. The oloroso sherry casks add a hint of wine, and a nice amount of sweetness. Very nice, sweet and smooth, simple enough for most, but with an underlying complexity that will please seasoned whisky buffs too - very good!

A change from Scottish malt….
A nice whisky … very similar in style to a low- medium range Scottish single malt. Very pleasant on the palate with a nice sweetness and some complexity- nothing to complain about and a bargain at Black Friday price ! Silly bottle though- impossible to pour without drips because of thick rim. Ended up funnelling into an empty tamnavullin bottle and having a guess the whisky competition..

Tasty and smooth
Well i honestly have to say this is a nice whisky straight or with a mixer even though i don't drink any spirit straight i do for the first time just to get an idea what it is like this is the first spirit i have ever drank which does not burn on the way down when drank straight and i have no idea why bought two bottles drank half of one last night as i enjoyed it that much and now just waiting for my second order of two more what did impress me also was the fact it's a lady that came up with this single malt blend called Alex i think the bottle is a bit iffy but i like the cork stopper maybe revamp the bottle a bit by making slightly less stubby and higher

Packaging awful
Nice bottle of whiskey very tasty. Packaging awful as in there was none it was a box in a box with the bottle moving around so god knows how much this was shaking around in there.

Très belle découverte ! Un whisky irlandais doux et équilibré, avec de belles notes fruitées et légèrement boisées. La bouteille est magnifique et fait son effet. Excellent rapport qualité/prix, je recommande ++

Having drank scotch for many years, I came across a bottle of Jameson Irish whiskey and was an instant convert. Whiskey is way smoother than scotch, as it is triple versus double distilled. I read a review about The Sexton, and so, I thought I would buy a bottle. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it doesn't have the complexity, smoothness or lingering taste such as the Jameson Stout edition. If you want an amazing whiskey, then you can't go past Redbreast 12 or 15. If you want an affordable whiskey that is flavourful and smooth then try the Jameson Stout edition.
